My main realism issue is this: if we can build into a humanlike robot six rocket launchers with enough firepower to kill a Kaiju, why not build a bunch of separate rockets mounted on trucks and ditch the awkward robot frame?  And why does Gypsy Danger bother punching when it has a plasma cannon that clearly works much better?

Not that I care.  This movie is very soft sci-fi, and I'm cool with that.  I'm just saying, if you're going to build the next generation of weapons tech, and you say "we need _____ rockets", the blank better be filled with "plasma" and not "elbow".

Trucks are not very armored compared to giant robot frames (And also smaller, so you'd be compressing the kaiju blows force into a smaller area when you got hit) and much less impressive to look at.

Ok, I can't tell if we're using plasma to propel a punch, launching a rocket shaped like an elbow that then explodes into plasma, or launching a giant robot's entire lower arm at the enemy while said arm is firing plasma shots off in midair.

Excited for Ludum Dare 27 coming up at the end of next August. I think I'm going to try my hand at a 3D game for the first time in 10 years. Team might be a bit lighter this time around; it can be hard to find folks with 72 hours to spend doing nothing but make a game with you. Might be looking for a bit of talent to bring in this time... dedicated writers or music folks, maybe an assistant programmer... depends on what sort of stuff we want to try.

The problem with missiles that shoot as they fly is that you're blowing perfectly good hardware by exploding it. As a giant robot engineer, that's just wasteful! D:

Friday Night Magic, this time even though the parents are home! And even though I posted a 1-3 record it was fun, especially watching the EDH game some folks were having at the end.

The Omnath, Locus of Mana deck had a Doubling cube and 22 Forests to get 38 mana a turn that doesn't go away; more if you have leftovers There's also a creature that makes all your permanents untap during other players' untap steps, meaning by the time his turn rolled around again the Omnath player had a 200-ish/200-ish monster in addition to the eldrazi he fetched with Eye of Ugin and sweet mother of Timmy he had some big things.

Hadn't heard of it until the first episode came out so i didn't watch the trailers. Still i am very happy, it seems like it's gonna be a good show. Also Red's response to being robbed was awesome.
