oh and I just finished this:



It's a Fomorian. The Fomorians were a race of Warlike Beastmen from Celtic/Irish mythology. They served a role similar to the greek titans - holding a tyranical rule over Ireland until the celtic gods showed up and straightened them out.

You forgot the whole "heads turned around backwards, with clubfeet and abnormal numbers of eyes" thing, but he does look demonaic enough for a Celtic demon thing.

*I'm not sure if this is Indian or Celtic myth, but there was a Cyclopean guy who could basically shoot a laser out of his eye. I think it's Indian.


EDIT: Oooh! Do Cuchulainn in the Warp Spasm!

From wikipedia: "They are sometimes said to have had the body of a man and the head of a goat, according to an 11th century text in Lebor na hUidre (the Book of the Dun Cow), or to have had one eye, one arm and one leg, but some, for example Elatha, the father of Bres, were very beautiful. I went with the goat-man description for this guy. seemed most practical for a first attempt.

I was actually thinknig of doing a full conversion mod with races from celtic mythology.
They don't really have an equivalent to dwarves though...

any suggestions?

If you really want dwarves, you could make it a Celtic/Norse hybrid, which would be awesome. "Jörmungandr the Midgar Serpent has arrived at your fortress. You are dead." I don't really know any race that could be dwarves in Celtic myhtology though.
