Not to mention the fact that iTunes is stupidly slow compared to windows explorer in moving music files around. The last time I had to help someone with it I was able to finish the book I was reading (~250 pages or so till the end) and get some more water before it finished. They did have quite the chunk of music, but seriously. That is a good chunk of book.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

I would have canned it a long time ago, but I'm too lazy to bother searching around to see if there's anything unavoidable blocking one from just copying mp3s straight from windows explorer to one's ipod. Maybe something to do over break.

Personally the only reason I use iTunes on my windows side is that I have it set up so that both my mac and windows side use the same folder and iTunes library. That way regardless of if I add music from my windows side or mac side, I can still listen to it on both.

It would be brutally difficult and probably won't work. In other words, it's absolutely dwarven!

Only reason I use iTunes is because of the iPod I got several years ago. It still works fine and I haven't filled it up yet, so why get something else?

Why do people like their desktops clean?
Don't tell me people actually look for their games when they are wanting to play said game! You would probably forget what you have installed within a month!

I have a folder with all my game shortcuts in it, or I use steam.

So you can see your desktop?
Aren't desktops just there to make you feel better for being a lifeless computer-man?

I have everything I need quick access to on the desktop.

Frankly, any more than that, and it would take too long to find what I'm searching for.

It's the same for me. I have all of the stuff I use on a day-to-day basis on my taskbar, and everything I occasionally use is ordered so that it only takes 3-4 clicks at most to access it. If I'm going to go to the effort of finding a nice background, I'd like to be able to see it. That, and I'm a bit compulsive about order. In any case, disagreeing over desktop aesthetics hardly seems like an appropriate reason to start flinging no-life insults. Save that for the discussions about CoD and WoW, eh?  ::)

I use Emerge Desktop.

I have three very small, halfway transparent bars along the bottom of my screen that switch to 100% opaque on mouse-over.  One is a small group of shortcuts for the most quick-access programs, one is my running tasks, and the other is my tray.  Anything else I access via right-click menu on the desktop.  It could hardly be cleaner.

That wasn't an insult in any case though.

But anyway,I don't care about order as much so I'm fine with having a desktop stacked with 70 icons everywhere and anywhere.
The only thing that matters is if you can find your stuff quick or if you happen to make or get pictures or music or even videos you know where to put them and where to keep them so you can find them later.

I typically use spotlight/the start menu to launch any programs I need.  Going to the desktop is an extra step.

I picked something safe for work this time after finding wallpaper of Etrian Odyssey on Gelbooru.

Here is the unblemished wallpaper.

I wanted to post this because I am thinking of changing it sometime this week.
