Just because it has a better screen doesn't mean you have to stick to what it came with ;)
OSX fits my needs better than windows in most cases.  It's actually a decent os once you work past some kinks.

As for wallpapers, I tend to enjoy using patterns, which can easily be tiled or generated to fit the screen.  Also, most photographs are already taken at a much higher resolution than most screens and then resized to fit standard desktop resolutions.  I just use the full sized photograph and crop it as necessary.

I used linux on my desktop exclusively for 2 years, it most assuredly did not fit my needs.  "Political" issues aside, I find OSX to have the good parts of linux without any of the problems I had with it.  If you'd like to debate it, feel free to start another thread.  I was just posting my desktop  :)

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

Changed. And it's not NanoFate again. Though it does need a lot more blood, given the characters in question.

My general rule for Mac vs. Windows is that while Windows is better at getting it to do what you want (assuming that you can figure out how) the things that mac does do are more polished and natural then their windows counterparts. Also mac is willing to play nicely with windows (Most windows file types, line breaks, etc can be read by macs; plus it has bootcamp) windows isn't willing to play nice with mac (Ever open a text edit document on windows? While macs will respect windows line breaks the basic notepad doesn't respect mac ones. The only way to fix it is to open it in some other program, save it, and then open it in notepad). As such my main computer is a mac laptop with bootcamp on it, since it lets me have the bet of both worlds.

I personally dual boot Ubuntu (Because so far I'm only entry-level in the linux distro world.) and Windows 7. Linux does anything OSX could do, except play games of course. Although, it's not like the selection of games for OSX is that gigantic either. If I want to play games, I just go on Windows 7.

As far as recognizing file types, maybe... but then there's the suspicious way that all Apple software behaves like malware when installed on a Windows system.  Ever tried to uninstall Quicktime from Windows?  It's impossible.

Isn't that the entire reason Quicktime Alternative was built?

Apparently there is the occasional quicktime file. (Or iTunes sneaks it on there while Apple Software Update is running)

For the latter: Heh, yes.

For the latter: Heh, yes.

Which is why I have refused to allow absolutely anything Apple related to touch my computer for 6 years or so.
