Dwarf Fortress Blackout. (HELP ME!)
« on: August 17, 2009, 08:10:14 am »

My dwarf fortress window goes black every time I open it. It works, but it's black. I can't see anything. I tried reinstalling, Restarting, redownloading, Init-changing, older and newer versions, and pretty much everything, but it's black. I'm on windows XP, and I was playing version 0.28.181.40d. Can anyone help me? It's hard to play while my whole world is black.

And if someone invents a better name, tell me.

Probably in bug reports.

I had a similar problem, do you play WoW? I could never get DF to run after I had played Wow for some reason, I had to reset my computer before I could get DF to run,

I went to dinner, and left DF open. During that my brother opened WoW. When I came back, I told him to get out. I closed WoW, and DF was black.  :-\

E: It just started to work again!! :D It blacked out three days ago, and I had lost all hope.

Minimizing and then restoring the window seems to work for me, although with a few seconds delay.
