Today, we see another rock vs rock setup.  The only major difference being Ryan's wall of bronze vs Dumpling's wall of copper, and Dumpling's high armor user skill and agility vs Ryan's naturally lighter armor.  Let's get it on!

You know, I really thought Ryan was going to win this one.  Sure, he couldn't move quickly at all, but he was wearing two layers of bronze armor, each of which was tougher than D3's copper battleaxe. 

I suppose it was the agility that settled it.  D3 didn't hit about 90% of the time, but with 4 ranks in armor user and that 1 agility point, he got that 10% just a little more often, and his 2 ranks in shield user helped him counterattack.  Looking at the KILLS screen, Ryan's armor kept D3 from getting the deathblow, but it was a "Death from 1000 papercuts" sorta thing.

I'm still thinking about that.  One thing is that I'm proving these fights definitively, so if you lost to someone in the first round, you're going to lose to them later on.  There's always a chance they get eliminated, but then that means you're fighting someone tougher than the person who beat you.

There's also an issue with the winnings (you'd be far behind the winners), but I suppose I may be able to adjust them to make a loser bracket work if people are still up for it.  New poll!

Well, this will probably be the closest match we'll see in this tournament.  Looking at it, both fighters were pretty well-balanced.  Steve was very well armored, and while his armor was very heavy, he had the strength and the armor-user skill to give him mobility and the shield skill to defend himself.  Samus had the superior quality equipment and the extra agility, in addition to a little bit of shield user skill.

I think I'm going to call this the closest significant result.  Any battle percentages closer than this will be considered stalemates and be refought.  Even at 100 battles, there could still be enough error that I would consider less than 4.5% too close to call.

You may have noticed that the kills don't add up to the total.  This is because Total = "bled to death" + "struck down" + "suffocated," and all the death messages aren't adding up to the right number of strikedowns.  I'm not sure why that's happening,It's happening because a weapon will sometimes get stuck in even though the person has been cloven asunder.  I finally got it working.  For the time being, be assured that the number of strikedowns is correct.

Yeah, that's because, for Ryan vs D3, I set the fights recording for a solid minute instead of my standard 15-20 seconds, but most of them don't take that long so other parts of the gamelog get sorta trapped in there.

Also, there may not be a fight today.  I've got some homework to finish up and then I'm seeing DragonForce in concert tonight.
