That fight was even more pathetic than mine I believe. I at least survived a few hacked off limbs as opposed to being stabbed in the arm then having it twisted.

It was all up to whoever got the first hit in.  Spears vs low armor almost always results in a quick finish.

Also, battles will be done as quickly as I can carry them out.  I'm hoping to accomplish at least one battle a day.

It does not work like you are thinking. In the chart, each skill level (far left) shows the price for that level (middle). Lets just use weapon skill levels as an example as I remember the pricing for that.
Lvl1= 100
Lvl2= 200
Lvl3= 300
Lvl4= 400

To get Level 4, it would be lvl1+lvl2+lvl3+lvl4=Level 4 weapon skill
That is 100+200+300+400=1000

You have to buy each level before you can buy the next level.

I'm surprised that wasn't RNG though, I thought his agile stat would have been the deciding factor in that fight.

I think the Plate armor slowed him down just enough, and he had no arm protection. he should have gone for chain mail and a buckler.

This was a long and grueling match.  Copper Turtle couldn't get past Gorshak's shield, and Gorshak's mace wasn't quite strong enough to penetrate Copper Turtle's armor, at least at first.  Eventually, the blows started to add up and Gorshak was able to land one final death blow.  This marks a record as both the most interesting fight in the tournament, and the first fight where both combatants wore pants.

Blast, you have another 200☼ to spend on equipment and skills.
