Wait what? Did you mod something? Normally punches bruise and break limbs, to chop them off you need SLASH/GORE type of damage.

Do GCS's have [SEVERONBREAKS]? That could be it.

I twice had a farmer kill a well armoured and unwounder adventurer with a single punch... But dismemberment??

I think you have have found Edward Scissorhands.

I think if you get enough crushing damage, there is a slight chance that it severs the limb. Or GCS might have [SEVERONBREAK]. Either way, that is freakin' badass.

It sure works for hammerdwarves anyway.

No, hammerdwarves hit a target so hard that it hits something and explodes.
It should work with SEVERONBREAKS only. GCSs don't have this tag, so this should be some kind of bug.

brb. beating up civilians as an experiment

edit:

Ok. Seems you're right. I could have sworn I saw bodyparts flying when my hammerdwarves were in action ... I killed 14 civilians and only one of them lost his bodyparts... when he was smashed into the wall and exploded.

And so, Urist McFarmer lived on, her system fighting a seemingly never-ending battle against the dreaded GCS venom. After the poison finally dissipated, she quickly rose through the ranks of the local military and soon becoming the commander of the army. Mowing through hundreds of elves and gobbos, she was finally struck down by a shot to the left foot from an elven bowman.

Farewell, Urist. Farewell, Urist McFarmer, Slayer of Tathescu Lestruhnubpo, Conquerer of Elves, Annihlater of Goblins, Champion Socksdwarf/man, and Wielder of the !!☼large Rope Reed sock☼!!.

It's probably a retired soldier/adventurer. I found a shopkeeper missing an arm who had killed over 80 elves.

I see a lot of weird/cool/interesting things like that. I saw an elven shopkeeper (who had only ever been a shopkeeper) once who was injured, in legends it said she had her leg burned off by a dragon, and she killed him after anyway.

Even weirder in the most recent world I generated there's a bronze colossus who got his head ripped off by a kobold (somehow). Though he forced the kobold to retreat anyway, and went on killing for 43 more years.

I'm pretty sure the only way to 'kill' them is to destroy the core body part (torso).
