However, the temple DOES survive so either it or jade('s (grand)father) has a way to protect it, likely not able to protect jade's house though.

Hmm... It's hard to tell, but that meteor certainly looks like it's dead on.

Mind you; if a meteor that size hits the ocean it'll quite effectively flood half the planet and cause a mass extinction event, so meh.

Perhaps the temple is meteor-proof.

A meteor that size would set the atmosphere on fire.  I don't care how tough the roof is, they're all boned.

On the other hand, stuff is still kinda alive in the future.  My suspicion is that those meteors aren't as dangerous as they look.  That or Andrew has slipped up and committed an egregious mistake about real world physics.

Egregious I say.

The meteor pictured in (s)WV:Ascend causes a mass extinction BEFORE the dinosaurs.

This could probably be the reason to why the future (atleast I think it's the future) is a vast post-apocalyptic-like desert.

It's the future, years in the future, BUT NOT MANY!

On a scale of 1 to 10, how do you estimate your chances of not having a nerdgasm over the ending of that fight?

I already had it on the second round. Twice.

One of the best parts is the music keeps stepping up in badassness each round.

What's really awesome is that their hits are timed with the music.

My theory on the meteors is that the size of the crater rather than the meteor size is pictured.

That's still a crater roughly the diameter of the Moon.  Whatever causes that isn't leaving any air behind.
