And of course the WQ's spritey ring is the life ring.

B1 and B2.

It's the B2 void ring.

Neither are spritey rings because the session is void and thus the rings can't be spritey because there are no sprites to make them spritey.

Unless you alchemized them with a can of Sprite, but that's ridiculous because what kind of foreshadowing would the cans of Tab serve in that case?

Wait a minute, if Roxy and John swap rings and get married and shit, John will be wearing the void ring and become unnoticeable anfd unimportant to the story!

NOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooo......

Okay, clarification time for everyone so we're on the same page. I think there may be some terminology confusion as to what "spritey" ring means, and so on.

They are not the rings Jack Noir and PM are wearing. They are (or at least one is) the orb-free instances of those rings spawned in the post-Scratch human session, the Ring of Void being that of the session's BQ (taken by the Condesce, and then Roxy, and then who knows), and the Ring of Life being the one Hussie proposed to Vriska with (then found by Tavros and John, now held by wake!John) and possibly the WQ's ring from that same session.

Is that unambiguous? Interesting that their powers function for non-Carapaces.

“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

But wouldn't they be essentially the same game objects in each session, only differing in the amount of orbs? Besides the orbs added by prototyping, why would any two sessions' rings behave any differently?

Because lolplot. We already know that BQ's ring behaves differently, rendering Roxy invisible (which is not a power conferred by the original session's rings, and those rings ordinarily have no effect on non-Carapaces).

Can't always go with weird plot shit. Look, as I'm going over this update, looking at all the details, Aranea's not specifically saying that the rings are indeed the spritey rings. She's being vague. So, I accept the possibility that the rings could be the void session's rings, but I prefer to believe that the rings are not the spritey rings.

I think the reason that the void session's rings are special is because the session is void and no prototyping was done, so the rings just kinda rolled the dice to see what they would do.

The void session's rings aren't spritey rings, though. They're decidedly non-spritey, because the session itself is decidedly non-spritey.

The void ring has already been shown to have different powers. It makes you invisible.

Yes, except for the part where everything has already happened, and was destined to happen.
So less rolling the dice, more manifesting destined powers vital to the survival of paradox space or whatever.
