I for one find Drunken Rose a bit jarring, but I am laughing like Hell anyway.  Rose drunkenly pontificating conceptual atomic theory while Dave is so bemused and disgusted he's turning into the straight man.  And Kanaya was the one that was originally infatuated, and she hasn't gotten or sent a hint in two years.

Dammit, where's Karkat when you need him.  That wimp better not abandon ship now.

I was kinda worried about Rose turning into Roxy 2.0 there. I'm so glad to be wrong. Drunk Rose is freaking amazing, and so is Dave's reaction. I'm dying of laughter over here.

My thoughts exactly. Roxy and doomed Rose drank because they were sad and alone, but this seems okay. Feeling anxious about your first date and then losing track of time and alcohol? Entirely reasonable.
