April 16, 2009.  Yes, when I saw it, I wondered to myself, "What would a Ghostbusters II MMO be like?"  Turns out, total crap.

I saw something posted here about Ghostbusters minutes earlier. I must not have even thought about it because when I later went to press the "next" button and saw the Ghostbusters thing, I thought nothing, but then when I scrolled down and saw MMORPG, I lol'd instantly.

From what I see, the last sprite was prototyped with Bec, thereby making Jack more powerful than ever and putting him in control of creating 'scratches' and immense power. 

Everybody is officialy screwed.

Yes, that is a valid assessment. This theme continues throughout the rest of homestuck because of this event.

I have two major questions here:

a) How did they manage to set up the game server? Does that come bundled with the game? Or is Ghostbusters II MMORPG the product of one of Skaia's many business fronts, and they were hosting the servers on Prospitian battleships the whole time as some sort of selector to decide who was worthy of an SBURB beta in some sort of Last-Starfighterian twist?

b) Why would someone let the best game of all time go for $1?

I'm sure the secrets of Homestuck reside in the answers.
