HOUMU SUTAKKU

Okay, now I want to see that Puella Magi Madoka Magica crossover where Dave says that he and Homura should make out just because both of them time travel.

That's one of my favorite pieces of MSPA art.

EDIT: Found it!!

Also, who's willing to bet that the "switch" thing is going to happen with the kids when they scratch? I was one of those that was guessing this back when the scratch was first explained.

Last page confused me so hard.

Essentially, the Trolls Ancestors were in the position that the four Kids are in now; unable to complete the game and about to force a reset. Once they did, they lost all memory of the game and swapped places with their ancestors, who are actually the present-day Trolls. Then Karkat's ancestor started to remember that their world used to be all piece and love and shit, and got upset and tried to fix things.

But then, life was also easier when I was running around here pretending to be a man, so I guess I should just "man up" and get back to work.

Thanks a million. I figured it was something like that.

Which means when the kids reset we're gonna get four new kids.

Or rather, we're getting Grandpa, Mom, Dad, and Bro.

Possibly.

Reading this update basically made me go "OHSHIT GUARDIANSWAPS ARE CANON IT'S FANDOM TIME".

Just to be weirder, it seems that in the pre-Scratch troll session, the trolls and ancestors were never actually created ("this session was not the one in which they had been spawned"), and neither was Doc Scratch.  This is also apparently part of the way Lord English claims universes as his?

Doc Scratch claiming that this plan was fulfilled "without a hitch" makes me suspicious.  Sure, the ultraviolent trolls finished the game well enough, but there's been little hints here and there that they're really not playing it the way it's meant to be played.

And Betty Crocker becomes the earth's proper Guardian. Obviously.

Lord English is actually a disease in the way sburb works. He is the cancer. And everything he does is built around creating more universes with English-cancer. Karkat (and everyone else) was simple, as always, his pawn.

Also, Karkancestor is clearly troll-Jegus.

The Sufferer remembering was a glitch in the system. Because of this a cascade of misfortune rang through their session and ultimately doomed it to be devoured by Lord English.

 Karkat fucked everything up.

 The Sufferer fucked everything up.

I think the glitch happened because LE wasn't happy with how his meal was seasoned. Probably not enough salt or something.

I think the glitch is just something that happens. It was described as Le's calling card, so it seems more of a sign that a universe with such a glitch would allow for him to be summoned.

Not really.

Quote
Though they could not recognize it for the bad omen it was, this session was not the one in which they had been spawned. Such is the symptom of a subtle glitch affecting certain sessions, an error designed to trigger an unfathomable cascade of misfortune throughout paradox space. This glitch is the calling card of the one I serve. It is the discreet, gentlemanly manner in which he reserves his place in a universe for later visitation.

The glitch was the ancestors playing the prescratch session, which they were not created in. They were created in the post scratch session. It's through this glitch that Lord English was able to call dibs on their universe. The Sufferer remembering is an anomaly, but not what allowed English to start munching on their universe.

Considering it looks like we're gearing up for Hussie 4th 5th wall shenanigans, I think we're either close to the end, or nowhere near.
