Ha, whaddaya know, he went for it.  And she did too, and now we know what the broom was for.  Holy crap this girl is serious.

Doc Scratch confirmed for being the worst villain in the history of webcomics.  He trapped a 13 year old girl in his house, drives her to suicide with his insane preparation for some "master", and then hits her with a broom when she tries.

You might think the broom is just barely excusable because he didn't want to get electrocuted himself, but A) we've seen that he's basically invincible and B) he whacked a 13 year old girl in the face with a broom.

Well, actually committing suicide would be a perfectly valid strategy. Doing it out of spite is not heroic, and I kinda doubt she qualifies or just yet.
