Those crazy gifs of two kids breakdancing that Terezi turned into her and Dave were from the shitty 1980s sitcom Silver Spoons, staring child actor Ricky Schroder.  Once you understand that, it's pun-tastic callback.  I can't help but wonder if Hussie got the Schod(ing)er idea from the time mechanics and found the sitcom shots to set this up, or used the sitcom shots of his own accord and got the idea from the name, or thought of both on their own and realized he had a golden opportunity.
