Well, can we trust what Vriska says to be accurate, or was what she said merely a ploy just to get Tavros to feel worse about himself? It seems like the second option would be more likely, but then again, Tavros and his guardian are unlike any of the other trolls in terms of docility.

When Vriska is abusing Tavros I assume she's being completely honest about it.

I mentioned this before, but it's worth considering that when Vriska is abusing Tavros (perhaps with the exeption of the cliff scene) she is attempting to express red feelings towards him and is failing miserably. Like when middle school kids who are interested in another bully them because they don't know what to do with feelings of affection. Except with more torture and attempted murder, so a better analogy would be how Alma Wade

Of course, Vriska isn't a superpowered demon child who killed for shits and giggles. She's a superpowered regular child who killed so her giant Spider-mom wouldn't devour her, and learned to like it, potentially to deal with guilt. Or at least that's my own warped view of how it all went down.

 I think the bit where Vriska wonders about Tavros making it out of the cavern is more of a reference to future ectobiology stuff. Apparently none of them really remembers it, so I'm guessing the meteors that send them to Alternia dropped them off at the life stage right after the Cavern of Trials.

 Edit: And of course, I must bring booty from the other forums.
