As far as I can tell, Hussie's been trying to point out that none of the characters we know - or possibly no character at all - actually can be Lord English. His comments like "as far as you can tell this thing wouldn't look good on anybody" during the last recap emphasize this. I'm guessing Lord English will be an entirely new character we don't know, or he'll be a character we do know but who doesn't wear the coat at all.

Also is it just me or does doc scratch's legs look more like bros and less like cal's...

You know maybe I've got this wrong maybe lord english is cal, and bro is a puppet...mind rape, names fit better that way though.

 I do wonder if the first guardian dying is something specific for the Troll session or a general thing for all first guardians in regards to summoning Lord English. If it's a general thing Jadesprite is in a weird position of having the universe survive due to a depressed omniscient omnipotent game construct who was almost sent on a suicide mission.

I have a theory about this.

Doc Scratch called the magic cue ball his seed. Now, he could just as easily be calling it that since that was one of the items that created him. But I see a different interpretation: that Doc Scratch propagates the items of his creation into universes so that he can get created in them and eventually summon Lord English.

I don't know if a general First Guardian can die and summon Lord English or if it's specific to Doc Scratch. I expect it's specific to Doc Scratch since he knows how best to summon his master and also Becquerel is a dog and wouldn't know what to do anyway, so I expect there's a lot he's not telling Rose about the Scratch. Probably something along the lines that one of the retroactive changes will be that he becomes Earth's First Guardian instead of Becquerel.
