Dark Fortress

-Dark Fortress-

I present to the dwarf fortress community my first mod Dark Fortress. The entire mod is based off of the MMORPG Darkfall online. The ores, animals, races, and weapons of darkfall are transferred to this mod.

Features-
6 Playable races 2 alliances

New armor-

Rework of metal and minerals-

No more crossbows, all races use bows-

New animals-
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Things to do
1. Make each race a bit more unique.
2. Add new foods and vegetation.
3. Add more hostile creatures.

This is my first mod, I have never done this before and this is the product of 2 days of work. Please leave feedback.

As default you will start as humans in fortress mode.

Is this for the most part an update for adventurer mode? Either way it looks impressive.

Also which race is supposed to be playable in fortress mode?

I'm going for a fortress mode and adventure mode mod. Human is the only race I've spent a lot of time on in fortress mode.

Where's the part where you grind goblins for 100 hours because anytime you go more than 10 feet from your city a large group of roaming gankers show up to kill you?

Also is there a new profession of "mage who shoots spells into the wall"?

On a more serious note it looks pretty interesting, especially with what you did for metal.

Also you should have the alfar as a skulking/thieving race maybe? Would that better reflect the 3 alliance system of darkfall?

Your right, darkfall has 3 alliances. I just couldn't think of a way to make it like that. I guess making alfar as skulking would fix that problem, I'll try that later.
