Greeting, this shall be my second RTD as my first one recently ended due to a vote.

R T DEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Me, the people and the players, have voted to start anew in a different yet familier universe. The universe the new RTD takes place in already exists and thus some points of originality will be lost. However, if executed well enough like the few good games it is based off of, it may be fun.

As far as I know, there isn't an RTD of this (in this forum/that I know of) When the name of the universe is revealed you may be thinking it could get out of hand or riddled with jokes told a thousand times across the internet. Even if the universe already have powerful things; enough to destroy planets and possibly solar systems, I will do my best to keep things balanced and not go too far (you may not even get enough power to destroy a system). There will also be some rules and stuff that are normal RTD-nes stuff, so there can be possibilities.

With the new RTD, there will be more mayhem chances and chaos(which I think everyone wants) than in the in the previous game. The universe the new game will be in is vast and if gets to the point, there will be some sort of map/chart but it won't be exact because I would have to draw one up completly by scratch and will have to add planets that never existed in the universe the RTD is based off of.

Thatss right, the power hungry, going over the line, anime/manga that we all love/hate and each have different opinions on it's fame/self destruction. But fear not as I shall let the people vote on the time period: either at Saiyan saga(the past), giving you guys enough time for the crazy shit that happens afterwards OR after everyone is dead of old age and everything starts anew (the future,not trunk's future). The RTD will no doubt make fun about DBZ and be serious at the same time. You don't have to be a fan to join in or even like it.

Depending on the time period, there will be some races to choose from: Humans [Tien, Krillin], Nemekians [Piccolo/Kami, Nail], Majins[Buu], and everyones fave, Saiyans [Nappa, Radditz  ].And I guess if someone really wants it, Androids[#17, #18, #16]. Majins will not be available for the past, and the Saiyans for the future (As far as I know, they were wiped out and the blood line from the two main characters should run too thin to count. No halfs for any race for play btw).

Each race has their own abilities and special traits.

Humans are strong spirited and willpowered, able to regenerate their Ki fast and can push their limits far. However they are more fragile than the other races. Players may add in a free non Ki attack and can use the after-image strike.

*Namekians are similer to humans, only green, have antennas, can stretch their limbs far, fast,can regenerate their body (with efficient power level or Ki Stock, you can do what Piccolo and Cell did) and some have been known to have ability to grow their body into giants.

Saiyans** have strong Ki based attacks, can transform into giant apes at the look of a full moon or something similer, and become stronger with each battle (even if they lose). However with these great strength comes a great weakness, the tail.

Majins are big pink humanoid blobs with an antenna on their head with a few holes next to them (that which release ?steam? when powering up) and they have strong regeneration abilities as well a very flexible body...like that of silly puddy or playdough. So they have strong defense and can ingore most blows or regenerate from them. They are slow and their Ki based attacks expensive, however they have high Ki-Stocks.

Androids*** are machines to look like human (most of them) or atleast humanoid, but have very powerful attacks, tough to break, and their Ki energy raises on it's own gradually, steady, and fast. Some droids trade that in for ability to absorb ki and add it to their own but neither can gain Ki on command (they're not living things )and have their limits with Ki-Stocks.

Not every trait or ability is listed but will automaticly be applied to your character.

*Namekian Notes
1. They have regeneration abilities.
2. They all can stretch their limbs far, but some can stretch REALLY far.
3. Their antennas can release Ki
4. They really only need water (but a full stomach of food can still help)
5. They can reincarnate themselves (at a huge, huge cost)
 by coughing up an egg. Some can create mutated Nameks for minions or such at a lesser cost (King Picollo).
6. There's a shitload more info on Namekians that I probably wouldn't be able to fit here.

**Saiyan Notes:
1. As a Saiyan, you may choose to have any wave attacks in something like that of a Chou Makouhou (shoots from the mouth) or from the hands (but not both, so choose).
2. When/if you transform into an Oozaru (Giant Ape) you may choose two of these three special attacks:
Chou Makouhou: A large and powerful wave that blast from your mouth, but you cannot redirect it after firing.
Chou Makouhou Barrage: Launches a barrage of large blast types in rapid succession.
Chou Makousen: A less deadly Chou Makouhou but you'll be able to move your head about while firing a continuously stream.
(if you become powerful enough and able to control your Oozaru form, you may learn other abilities or defenses and can bring out your special abilities (this is for balance purposes as transforming increases power level by x10))
3. You can choose your own battle armor and scouter color.

***Android Notes
1. Players may choose either to have absorbing capabilities, or an energy generator. (absorbing can count as defense as it drains on the enemies Ki attacks)
2.Androids can auto detect power levels and read them, also can 100% hide theirs. (They also have other features for their eyes..like night vision  ect,.)
3.Androids can only be killed if their heads are destroyed.
4.They don't need sleep, food, air, ect,.
5. ALL androids have self destructing explosives (those red ribbon bastards)

Ok, after the race, everyone chooses from these attributes to act as their specialist(bonuses).

Attack: Punching, kicking. Martial arts to just old fasion brawling. [Piccolo, Yamcha (he barely had much Ki based attacks, only two as far as I know)]
Defense: Taking or shaking off blows. [I guess Recoom because he took alot of hits. Majin buu fits this more though.]
Speed: Fast blows, quick feet, ect,. [Ace and burterin the Ginyu Force]
Ki Gain: How fast you gain Ki. [Androids wouldn't have to stop to charge up as they can keep on the assault while it auto-charges]
Ki Release: How strong the Ki you emit [for attacking or defending or other move]
Ki-Stocks: How much you can store for later use and releasing a sudden burst of energy [like the Kaio-ken, some transformations, regenerating, and possibly some attacks & defenses]

The attacks and defense rules.

Attacks

You can create your own punches and kick moves [Wolf fang fist, drunken cow/monkey, martial arts, brawling, whatever], just be sure leave description and stuff.

As a kid, I examined all the blasting stuff that would go on in battles, the kind of Ki attacks used and their shapes and forms and their capabilities. These are some of the common and basic types of Ki attacks that I think fits:

Blast: A mass of Ki usually in a ball or similer shape.[Frezias death ball and spirit bomb, or the mini Ki blasts pointlessly tossed back and forth) Basicly anything orb like or round (most of the time) and usually explodes. Most cases, size and density determined it's strength so they can be slow but deadly with an area of effect.

Beam: Ki concentrated mostly in one point for piercing damage. It's extremely fast and extremely deadly but is small and precise, so it can be easy to miss sometimes. (Friezas death beam, SPECIAL BEAM CANNON!!!, and dodon ray/pa/whatever)

Wave: It's like as it says. A wave of Ki pushing a blast(the tip of the wave)(Those mouth cannons, kamehameha, galick gun). The wave length &/or width and punch of the blast end is determined by how much the user puts Ki into it and sometimes it can be re-directed. The wave pushing the blast makes it slightly faster but not as fast as the beam. May explode when it hits something it can't push.

There are other kinds of attack types, like Slash/Cut[destructo disc], that thing nappa did to a group of people (and that thing Vageta did to nappa  ), tri-beam(Tien)(blast?), and flame attacks[Demon king Dabura? I forget so many names or atleast I'm thinking I am forgetting them]. You may create your own if you wish,just be sure leave description and stuff.

Defenses

There are multiple kinds of defenses with each their own unique effects, advantages and disadvantages.

Natural Armor: You and whatever your wearing, and sometimes your Power Level/Energy [Battle armor, weak Ki blast exploding without a scratch or harmlessly bouncing off.]

Barrier: Uses some of your Ki Stock to quickly completely surround you with a shielding. It's very quick to bring up but not the strongest of defenses.

Power Guard: Concentrates your Ki in a single area for good protection but it can drain as much as the attack gives. (Basicly your Ki takes the hit instead of your health)[This was seen many times, most of the time they would, at the last second, raise their arms near the head and take the blow. (possibly first instance of this was from General Tao successfully blocking a kamehameha)]

Brute force: Some attacks can be deflected by brute force, combining your strength and Power Level. Hell, blasting your raw Ki into it can stop an attack (I'm sure there was a case where someone yelled at a Ki attack and destroyed it.)[I'm sure this was done many times...mostly to show off/intimidate or possibly a last line of defense(and yeah I guess the attempts to hold back a spirit bomb or other big blast can count as using brute force to send it back)]

There can be other kind of defenses and if there's enough power and size, the barrier can be used as an attack [explosive wave].
You may create your own defense, just be sure leave description and stuff.

#1 rule that must be followed: You CANNOT copy another  move that already exists [ie, destructo disc or tri-beam], you may create a move like one [Frezia's purple death blades to destructo disc, or Goku's drunken monkey to Roshi's (or as his alias, Jackie Chun , was it?) drunken cow].
UNLESS you have seen the move in action in which you may try to copy it[like when Cel saw the instant transmission twice or when Goku saw the kamehameha only once] or have been taught to you.

Everyone gets simple punches and kicks which can turn into smash attacks that can do some real damage,flying, and basic Ki blasts.

Each type of attack and defense have their own strengths and weaknesses, especially during clashes or up against another type.
Clashes are when the same type hit each other, and then it's a struggle of who can push the most power or possibly do something clever(like making a distraction or other)[like during the clash between Gohan and Cell when Vageta distracted Cel]

Blast: When two blasts clash; they either explode, deflect each other, absorb one another. The bigger it is, the more likely they will explode or absorb the other. Barriers can be effective against the blast, but don't expect it to hold on a direct it. Sometimes brute force is in order.

Beam: These little buggers pierce straight through blast and wave types, sometimes causing them to disperse or explode. When it clashes against another beam, the denser one will most likely win. This type can easily pierce barriers but is in-effective against power guards. Brute force is not recommended.


Wave: These can go up against a blast depending on size and power. When two waves clash, it is a power struggle and can result mass damage to the loser. It is possible slow enemy wave with a clash, softening the blow, but it's hard and tricky. A strong barrier can stop a wave type and a power guard also reduces alot of damage. Brute force can sometimes help. During wave clash, Ki Stock determined how much more energy you can push the wave

There's more elements that can be discovered and whatnot as the game progresses depending if anyone makes any new types or are able to give a name to those that have none

Ok, now that some of the stuff is out of the way, here is way to sign up

You need to give a name, race, gender, attribute specialty, either create 2 attacks and 1 defense, or 2 defense and 1 attack, and one special move ( it could be an ability, attack, defense, or nearly anything) that only you can do, serves as ace in the hole, and must go with the attribute you chose to specialize in

There should be a total of 4 moves*, 2 attacks & 1 defense, or 1 attack & 2 defenses, combined with your special that makes 4 not counting race abilities. * unless your human, which then pick whatever combo of attacks and defense (needs to have atleast 1 attack or defense) but you still only have 1 special.

After you fill out your character sheet thing; DO NOT POST IT. Instead, send it to me via message, and I shall store it, fix it to the game, and then send it back to you. What I have planed is, incase pvp is to happen, neither will know what the other can do or has until it is used. There will be spoilers of your characters showing condition, but players won't know the other power levels and such unless they get a reading or fight them(unless their hiding it well). When a move is used ingame it will be added for all to see. Sometimes, if a move is used but wasn't succesfull or not used properly, or there are no witnesses, it's effects may still be unknown . You may only get one shot at a surprise  .

Your power level and other hidden information will be kept separate until revealed, in which then it return back to unknown next time you hide it or some other reason.

I'll figure out high speed fight and clashes when we get there.

Power levels read through devices are estimates and not exact. Some can read power levels but it is in no means numbered, so it's only guesses comparing to yours (Like; Damn, he has to be twice as strong as I am now. or, heh, the weakling isn't a 5th of my current power let alone my true strength. ). The real means in battle is how much percentage difference and what happens in the course of battle. Some people may be able to hide their power level, to either fool an enemy thinking they're weaker, or to not attract much attention. Your power level is determined by your Ki and Strength. Ki-stock also plays a role for it allows you to hold more Ki before it reaches it's maximum occupancy. So the more Ki-Stock you have, the higher your power level can reach. the higher your Ki charging, the faster your Power Level reaches that point.
As you fight, train, or other, your Ki and Ki-stock will naturally grow to increase your Power Level.

You guys won't start out super strong, but not weak. Fight or get training, or whatever is suited to your race or persona you choose to create for your character. And there is there is no real main quest or that shit, it's do what you will, but if you should pick the past time you could interfere the show or something.

There are reserved spots unless they choose to give it up (which would be great if they tell me), but feel free to submit forms so that when there's an opening you would be applied to the system. Of course, this is assuming there are atleast 8 people in a dwarf fortress forum who don't mind trying this shit out with a GM who's inner childhood may comeback anytime.

1. By special attack, I really meant like an ability or some such... Goku had his Kaio-ken (for a while) or Tien's Neo Tri-beam or krillin's destructo disc. Will fix that and going to add in some more info on smash attacks...as I was just reminded of them (thanks)
