I have a soldier stuck in one spot and won't move. He has 2 masterwork swords and I need him to kill 20 wolves. ;D

This happened to me too. A marksdwarf (aka my entire military at the time) had a perfectly clear path to a near-dead-but-still-moving gobbo, and he stood there. While practically everyone in my fortress was headed to the river (booze shortage). i remember seeing various "Urist McDwarf cancels drink: Interrupted by goblin bowman x150". When the goblin eventually crawled into range, it had been at least a month and I had given the marksdwarf very many designations to move. He didn't move an inch, or even get sleepy, tired, hungry, or thirsty.
