hmm, he can certainly have a spot in the Prelude, becuase it goes to the founding of the world and even a little earlyer. also it makes it easyer to ensure his survival, and then an older Oldbeard, (Maybe still with some collor in his beard?) could join the main fort. This group has a high chance of death, and I dont want to kill off a quickly growing cultural figure in the community in the prologue  :D

@Rash: Curse you! I looked back at my writing trying to figure out what your post was talking about, and because I was looking for bad images... I got several... one that was on quite a massive scale...  :'(

It's easier. As for Oldbeard, at this time he is upset, because he never got a childhood. Angry at the gods, due to the fact that time is moving too fast; Very deeply pissed off at the world because he feels that things should be better, this is because of his lack of childhood deriving himself of an earlier time to look back to; and lastly, rather apathetic towards other dwarfs, as they just don't understand.

actually it was more about how i imagine demons as kind of horse-faced red-scaled fire things than anything else :P
