Yes, but everyone will start getting impatient in about five minutes or so.

Ok, sorry it took me a bit to get the save, I was at my stepmoms who doesn't have wireless... (ugh, 5 year olds with a computer addicted freak do not go well together) but I have it now, I will try my best to finish it in a week, but I have been playing 2d for a while so im not used to the 3d version but I will do my best, do I need to write a role-played story?

Of course, why else would dwarves risk life and limb to retrive one sock during a full scale siege onslaught.
The depressing thing is that they quite often lose life and limb(s) in the process.

WOW I finished the year in one night! yay... (crap, just realized I forgot screens...)

Ok, update:
1st Granite

Yes, my chance to rule this pitiful fort is finally at hand, I will turn this place into a nice hospitable place.

6th Granite

I have ordered multiple short swords to be made out of obsidian in order to be placed in weapon traps to combat all those stupid orcs that everyone whines about, all we need is a nice trap line.  All will be well within a month when that line is complete, then I will be cheerily awaiting the day they return, then my wife will be proud, and it will be a story to tell to my incoming baby.

12th Granite

My wife was compaining about how lordcooper has a bigger room than everyone so I took it upon myself to designate orders to mine out a back section to room so she could get it done without other workers complaining about how she isn't doing her job. I just hope this doesn't dearly affect my greatly awaited baby.

14th Granite

I have this feeling that the next orc siege is going to come before these traps are set-up so I have created a new military regime: I took the only current soldier out of the military and put everyone into one squad so that we have numbers to take these guys out, but I pray to god my wife doesn't get killed in the fighting before my baby is born, I can't wait to have my own child like all of my friends that died in the rapture so many years ago.

15th Granite

The lord has told me to create a great monument to his greatness, I have ordered a 12x12 square pyramid to be erected in the lord's honor. The masons are currently giving me strange looks as if I have been possessed.

24 Granite

Those bitch goblins attacked us before the line of traps were set-up, the lord gave us strength and we were able to capture their only crossbowman at the beginning of the ambush and the wrestlers were easily dispatched by the workers. My wife "thanked" me tonight for creating the new military causing this success, however I was nervous thinking it would hurt the baby in some way.

26th Granite

Those tree-hugging traitors showed up today, I gave them the honor of having to tell their lord they lost their goods. I told them to say it was punishment for revealing our position to the orcs.  The lord told me he was pleased at my work.

28th Granite

I asked our bookkeeper to tell me how many of each metal bar we had. He said he didn't know, so I punished him by giving him a seasons worth of work recording everything we own, I'll remember to keep his name in mind if ever he asks me to trust him with something.

1st Slate

My baby has arrived! and it's a girl! Oh how I adore this day, my wife and I have decided on naming it Sauce. The trap-line has been discontinued because my mechanic has told me that Orcs avoid traps... those rogue bastards.  The lord is telling me not to worry about what is to come, my family will remain safe.

24th Slate

I have noticed that all the dwarves who go outside nowadays are puking their brains out all over the ground and trees, this could be bad for our defense now that I know the orcs dodge traps. Lord help us in the coming months.

***Late spring was uneventful***

13th Hematite

I woke up today to the lord telling me danger was near, I prayed for help but recieved no response.  However I think he heard me because The human caravan has arrived.

14th Hematite

on its way towards the fort, the caravan discovered two goblin war parties. it seems to have also been followed by orcs, curses! I am activating the military.

***Those were the last words in sausage's diary***

***Journal of Userpay***

14th Hematite

That pyscho sausage was finally pulled out of the fortress, the moron charged directly into the oncoming orc war party.  Thank god, although I hope his wife doesn't take it too hard, after all she just had the first dwarven baby in 4 years and she is actually nice.  I have taken power of the fort in effort to keep order in this time of war, I will finish out sausage's rule.  I have taken a liking to his new military strategy and stuck with it and threw everyone to the battlements and sealed the bottom of the fort.  I am seriously starting to worry about our mission, that is one more unavailable female to use!

7th Malachite

I have forced the entire military to wait on those battlements without booze or food for almost a month waiting for those to come closer, they never did.  We have sealed ourselves in the fortress to hold out for as long as we can, the human guild representative is here as well, he is begging to leave but we won't let him in fear of our lives.

27th Malachite

I have had it with sausage's widow! she has been begging me ever since his death to decorate his tomb with statues because he "sacrificed himself" I have finally given in to her demands in fear of insanity, we are using our only aluminum and iron to make her happier, hopefully I get some action out of this gratuity.

21st Galena

we have been stuck in this hellhole for almost two months and my scout reports the orcs are still holding strong... ugh... webadict has told me our booze is dwindling so I ordered some more to be brewed however I just remembered sausage was our only certified brewer, I talked to his wife and asked her if she could try, after all, she must have learned something from him.

17th Limestone

I have succeeded where others have failed, the "automaton" or so they call it has been successfully completed after 3 tries. we dumped that crossbowman into the automated pit twice until I realized that the door out was unlocked, so I locked it and he is crawling around through the pit hitting those pressure plates over and over again.  My scout has reported that a Fire man has emerged from the magma pool and scared off the orcs! however those floodgates are giving me a feeling of security I refuse to open them until the fire man goes back into the magma.

22nd Limestone

I just remember sausage designated exploratory mining to be done multiple levels below us, the miners have returned with no luck so I told them mine out the whole floor just to keep them busy, maybe they'll find some gems or alluminum or something nice.

9th Sandstone

That representative has been clawing on me since the siege broke to let him out, so I released the floodgates, he doesn't seem to want to leave though. hmm...

***The rest of the journal may have faded out, or it was never written in***

***Jakkarra's Journal***

11th Sandstone

what the fuck is up with this fort? we have survived with no problems for 3 years and now we have two casualties in less than 8 months? We had the mother fucking representative here as a guest and he went insane and literally beat Userpay to death, I don't believe in violence but I ordered he be immediately thrown into that "automaton" pit to be mutilated by that mindless goblin. he deserved his fate. I don't even care if I am the last hope for dwarvenkind, get me the fuck out of this fort, into a bar with a full barrel and leave me the fuck alone.

17th Timber

Everything has calmed down, we are attempting to finish this pyramid to honor the gods and the sacrifices those two brave souls have made for our king and our kind, however I don't think this will be done before we finally pass on the leadership of the fort.

12th Opal

We have lived without stress for a month or so and we have almost finished the second layer of the pyramid, there is absolutely no way it will done by winter so I hope the upcoming leader will finish it up

**That was the last journal entry for the year***
Sorry whoever my wife was, I forgot to put your name in my notes so I forgot it in the write-up. The representative wasn't thrown in with the goblin (although that would've been awesome) the military just killed him.  We also lost a dog at some point (just remembered) and forgo to put him in my notes so I don't remember how he died so I didn't put him in here. I will edit with the save, I have to figure out how to put it up, oh one more thing, when I said one more I was guessing that there are more, and I assumed Userpay was a guy but I couldn't be sure so just play along.

EDIT: BALLS! I just noticed that userpay is right after me, how the hell will this work? just figure something out (maybe rename one of the guys that already went? that would give you some nice supernatural things like soul transfer or ressurection to write about)

REDIT: Save

why are there three people's journals in your Report sausage?

one of them is mine, and you completely missed the character i was going to make him as.

>:C

EDIT: you also killed userpay. that is BAAAAAAAAAAD... you shall have to rename your daugter Userpay so he still has a character.

EDIT:2: Should we even use this save? or should we get sausage to do it again? we only have six dwarves now, and one of those is useless for at least a year, and even then has to live for another TWELVE untill she can get a job!

How come the dwarf charged? I tried really hard to make fortress air tight in case of siege. Ideal defense for this fortress is strategy of one-man squads standing atop of battlements, not suicidically charging orcs.

Well dwarves die, so it's quite likely that this would happen, although I'm not sure I like the rp theft...

RP...Lol... Try and beat a male and female building a fort on their own, in a glacier.

Now THAT'S entertainment.

Oh, and, Migrants have to stay outside the walls and starve/freeze/get eaten. Elves too. No traders =D.

Well sorry guys but I'm to busy right now to play while you guys figure things out, starting college and all. Just take me out of the list and if I get the time I'll request a new slot or something.

before we begin we need to figure out whats happening about the two deaths, im unsure whether we will get any migrants, so i don't think we can afford the loss.

Well, I was trying as hard as possible to run the fortress without any casualties. It's bound to happen. Either we take it as a *SEVERE* challenge, or we restart. Honestly, we can still win this. There was a baby girl, so someone could marry her potentially.

But, I can see how you'd want to restart. I'd be fine either way. It might even be necessary if userpay was a lover with someone.

While it's still possible to keep the fort going, I say we do so.

Would the last surviving dwarves give up so easily?

Probably. Anyhow, if we do restart, we restart to before this moment.
