Horse head
« on: June 08, 2009, 05:26:05 am »

Is there any way how to get horse head? I´ve tried dropping 30 horses from 20 z-levels and I have lots of chunks, legs but no head ...

And before you ask - one of my nobles has impossible demand, so I wanna give him horse head next to his bed as a warning.

combinate horses with a goblin pit. perhaps that helps. No wrestlers of course. Axe and sword goblins might do the job.

Will they attack? I have seen gobbos killing wildlife but never my tamed animals.

I'm sure they prefer dwarves but they attack war dogs too, right?

You need to slice them up, so use the biggest slicers in the game - giant axe blade and/or large, serrated disc, 10 mixed or matched in a weapons trap.

Dissection should be rather complete.

But a tame horse won't be attacked by a trap? ::)

Can't link a trap to a trigger.

But a tame horse won't be attacked by a trap? ::)

I'm tempted to give any number of snappy answers to highlight your snarky ignorance (the eye roll), but I'll let you dig yourself out of this - if you can - fill in this sentence, Scruga:

Any creature, including dwarfs, will trigger any trap if they are ________.

Here's a hint for ya:

Thank you, Albedo. Several giant axe traps + small cave-in versus 20 horses = 8 heads!

Woohoo! Horse head heaven!  ;D

(I woulda thought you'd just drop them less, maybe 4 levels, but ya can't argue with results!)

Yeah ... it is a warning. One more impossible demand and his days are over.
