[40d] Immigrant wrong labor enabled.
« on: May 27, 2009, 01:11:17 pm »

Always when immigrant masons (non-adjective mason skill) arrive at the fortress they have both masonry and stone detailing enable in the labor screen. Is this a known bug or is there a reason for this? I searched for it but couldn't find any related topics.

I'd say it's an oversight, not a bug.  All immigrants have all jobs enabled for their 'color'...so farmers always get threshing and stuff, even if they don't have threshing skill.

I would say it's not a problem, more of them being set for labor in their sort of skill set, even though they don't have any points in the skill.

It's only a problem if you like your engravings to be good.

Realistically, you'll be resetting labors on most of your migrants anyway.

Especially those guys that think they're going to be doing weaponsmithing, armorsmithing, and blacksmithing. Optimistic much?
