Eh their randomly generated beings that are professional wrestlers and only known to be hostile due to having no Civ to call their own.
also the cackling is kinda weird in that it warps bogeys into the area if the person outside. if you can see the sky then crackling can be open and summon bogey on you.
though this doesn't mean bogey can't walk inside and murder every one else because there no restrictions to a bogeyman from walking inside or doing anything they want.
just that they will vanish once the target reaches the requirements to end the cackling which is going inside or killing every single bogeyman in the area with out spawning more.
so you kinda had a bunch of guards get mauled in their sleep by bogeymen.

also archery is the weaker of the skills you can have in adventure mode due to how slow it is to fire compared to your enemies.

Mans, and womans, I need to get back into misadventurin'. Haven't really looked at it since I had to restore my laptop over christmas, and have spent all my DF time trying to get my fort back to the way it was.
