Spoiler: This much Vis (click to show/hide)

Each individual chamber has room for way more chickens with no problems, I just used one per pod for convenience, and you can easily extend it vertically and horizontally, and I noticed no additional lag at all.

That looks ridiculous and awesome... just as a crazy alchemical contraption should.

3-5 chickens per cell would probably be alright, though herding them in there legit would be a pain in the ass... no wait... portal gun. Yes. YES.

If you have any more suggestions, I'm still up for testing. Although there's not that many cruel and unusual things to do to chickens now.

Testing it with 5 chickens per cell, just to see how insane it gets.

That's kind of a complicated question but...

Here is the latest version of IC2

and

Here is the latest (stable) version of Buildcraft. (note I am not linking to the 3.0x alpha release because its not really stable and still has bugs)

To install these you will first need to install their support mods. That is why I said its a complicated question.

Buildcraft seems to have a client installer for windows which you could try I guess. I just do it manually.

IC2 has no installer but it says on the page what you must install prior to putting the IC2 file into the mods folder. Hope you're comfortable with that, and good luck. Let us know if you have questions or issues.

If you have any more suggestions, I'm still up for testing. Although there's not that many cruel and unusual things to do to chickens now.

Hmm, more suggestions on chicken-powered machinery? I will give it some thought, still at work atm.

I want to make a chicken powered chicken fryer now that you've mentioned that.
Delicious and inhumane :D

And 5 chickens per cell filled the crucible up completely overnight

Maybe don't use mcpatcher because it sucks?

You realize that MCpatcher is required for any Hi-Def texture pack, right?

Johnfalcon, have a look for the crash log then copy it in here.

Spoiler: Ok then. (click to show/hide)

What am I doing wrong?

I think you can build it less space consuming if you build it with with glass covers and in a checkerboard pattern...

No it's not, it's just easier. I have HD texture packs without using MCPatcher, and have manually installed every mod in my pack.

Did you install Forge? It doesn't look like you did. Its missing part of forge called ITextureProvider

I'll have a go at that when I'm testing next. 5 per cell was too much, the crucible was filling up quicker than I could empty it.
