I installed the yogbocks, but when I add TMI to the folder to see what is added, the TMI interface doesn't open ingame.

TMI modifies a base class.  It cannot be loaded from the zips.

Just curious, but I might actually be purchasing Minecraft in a bit (albeit really late), and I thought they made you pay for subsequent updates if you didn't buy the Alpha. Did they do away with that?

It's really silly, but basically the original wording said that, if you purchased the alpha, anything they made, minecraft related in the future would be free to you. All they did was change the wording after a while (Because it made the lawyers nervous) which left it open that they might charge for additional things after the game is released. Think of it like DLC or expansion packs. Or perhaps they have something even more creative in mind. If you buy it though, you've paid for the game at least through till the final version in November(or whenever they release it) I wouldn't be surprised if they never go through with anything like paid DLC or expansion packs though, it was really just nervous lawyers that didn't like the wording they were using.

Some people took that to mean "oh, we're going to charge you for all the patches after this" for some silly reason, and that's pretty much not true.

I just thought of a perfectly awesome and dwarfy
thing to do for D@W. It will be wool intensive but I
think the results will speak for itself.

What we do is build all the way to the top of the
sky and using wool make a giant cloud that covers
all of our realm. We should also have a few magma
falls up there as well. Think of the awesome results,
our land permanently blanketed in darkness, giant
ribbons of lava falling from the sky onto a war
torn landscape covered in pools of lava and dark
chasms, only a few ways into out underground haven
lit the rest of the land a breeding ground for the evil
undead, giant spiders, and the hell born creepers.

Of course this would require a whole lot of work
to do but I think it would be worth it.

Lava lights burnable things on fire in a 5x5x5 cube centered on the block and any flow blocks. Wool burns.

Yes it does but a few pockets of rock to hold
the magma would fix it right up.

Sounds even better, the whole sky on fire.

All the buildings should have the easiest enterance from the bottom. That being said, the fake obsidian bunkers I was talking about earlier need to be filled with lava.

Depending on how much interest our empire has, and the fact that there is no accounting for taste, what are our thoughts about multiple empires, cause I know this was touched upon briefly on the N@W thread.

As long as there was enough people to do it. A
nation of five is not much of a nation compared to
a nation of ten. If you want to have a sub group
then just buy a new plot where they can build. Also
I think that having Bay12 show one united face to
the rest of the nations would probably be for the
best in the end but as I said, I don't mind if we
have enough people.

I would have to do some calculating(read someone who knows math do it for me) But if we wanted to have coloneys I think we get charged more resources or it being under the same flag, that being said, it is a Roleplaying game, and splitting ourself up without much reason feels like metagaming.
