Would causing minimal damage for the purpose of stealthily entering a castle to see if you can find anything worth stealing, whilst limiting the amount of what you steal (only theft of spares for example) count as griefing?

Probably not. I would prefer outright attacks and battles, since thievery is on the cusp, but I'd only even consider it a problem if the victim complained quite a lot.

So, Notch had time to implement lava setting things on fire, but not anti-flying or speedhack checks, or server-side inventory.  Okay, fine, it's temporary, but it's going to be one shitty week.  PTTG, I suggest you don't get attached to whatever server you wind up making.

Note taken.

Wont be that bad, I don't think. If the ip is only shared through PMs we should avoid annoying grieffers and cheaters.

Probably. I was also thinking of having the spawn inside a lava-filled room that can be emptied on demand, but we'll also have some level of security. Tahin wants to set up an IRC that's public, and then have ops give people the IP once they've, well, basically CAPTCA'd them, and that's another good idea.

Thievery isn't a problem. The equipment is on the client side still, so you can manufacture out of thin air anything you want with memory editors.

They are in a hidden folder.

 Sift around in there.

Noooo!!! That would be like a spawn jail only far more annoying. It shouldn't be a problem if the IP has to be given out through PM anyway.

Hey guys, remember that buggy as hell space indev map I had? I found a version of it before I converted it to indev, back when it was in the creative mode format.

 Ta Daaaaaaaa!

Now I just need help in getting this in an infdev map, and editing it so the ships are all alongside the station, and editing resources onto the ships.

I would bet money Andrew has edited things retroactively, except I can't prove anything because it was edited retroactively.
