Well, I jumped the gun and went back to 1.7 to get buildcraft, industrialcraft, Redpower, and EE all running at once.

Do you think I would be able to get this stuff back into 1.8?

That red and black floor looks surprisingly classy.

I really need to get around to that N@W application.

Possibly, but Redpower isn't fully updated for 1.8.1, it's "positively FULL of bugs." (http://www.eloraam.com/?p=115)

Don't 70 pumps run a risk of exploding?

Redstone pumps never explode (or even get to a solid red state) unless you have them pumping into each other, and you don't make them pump into each other in the setup I'm talking about.

I am very afraid a pump will blow up and destroy my very expensive digging machines,
could I get a screen of your setup?

Er, that world got corrupted when I had about 100 combustion engines linked together and I accidentally made a loop...

It's really quite simple, just point a few dozen redstone engines at wooden conductive pipes, and link the wooden pipes together (preferably with gold conductive pipes), avoiding any closed loops in the piping.

Note that you need buildcraft 2.2.0 for conductive pipes. (which is only out for minecraft 1.8.1)

FUCAAAKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!
Was playing N@W, found a nice little hole in the ground and started exploring.
Went deep, deep deep. Had plenty of tools from the surface, nearly a stack of wool, coal, plenty of food. Found some Iron, got a few stacks of Redstone and emptied a dungeon of its mossy Stone. Even found a Diamond...

Then I came across some lava across the ground. I blocked off the start of the stream then suddenly instead of decreasing. IT EXPANDED!!! ONTO THE TILE I WAS STANDING ON!!!!!!!!

Did the N@W server crash or something?

I will wait until the next Technic, I will probably want a new world anyway.

Here's my new setup. 14x15x2 (420 redstone engines) can apparently power a filler set to 'level' so well that you can't fly fast enough to keep up in creative mode (recommended by the way, as thousands of items will cause some serious lag if you don't try to pick them up).

http://imageshack.us/g/97/20111006221905.png/

The last one has blue engines because I turned it off about 15 seconds prior to taking the screenshot.

EDIT:
I cloned the generator stack with MCedit, and it's rather fun watching a mountain of sand dissolve in front of you, though it's rather laggy once there's 3000 blocks of sand bobbing up and down...

Double EDIT:
Bahaha, 2520 engines apparently reduce my framerate to 3-8, but the quarry seems to go the same speed as only 420 relative to real-time. This kind of power generation does NOT scale well at all.

Ah, I just started playing again. I was reading about all the new 1.9 stuff, so then I went and installed the 1.9 prerelease.

Out of curiosity, what's the tileset in the very beginning of this video? Because that water is just amazing.
