Guys, we found the ticker's source! It's the floodlights! Googol removed them and the ticker disappeared!
I advise the map maker to remove the floodlights from the map.

We are playing for 3 hours without ticker now.
And the ticker ended as soon as the last floodlight got removed.

I'm pretty certain.
Especially considering the way that the ticker stopped, and the fact that it ALWAYS stopped on processing floodlights

The floodlights had a semi-infinite loop in them, which would cause major problems

I think I'm going to have to recode/overhaul the main ticker now.
It strikes me as... stupid .. that one poorly coded machine can bring down the server and take ages to pinpoint

You know it is possible to make a loop that will not halt the rest of the code?
Instead of
Code: [Select]
while(whatever)
do stuff

You can do

Code: [Select]
spawn while(whatever)
do stuff

What does the spawn do in this case? I thought spawn() is used to delay something with time intervals.

Also, I didn't get the icon.dmi.

Nah, it spawns the while loop as independant code - the program can continue on after it but it will run at the same time.

Damn it, there is a total idiot in the server. Sorry for insults, but he's annoying me like shit.
First of all, his AI name is gay AI, he talks about Dragon Ball Z and Naruto, and doesn't RP at all.

Also, to catch the idiots, I will hide my admin status. I think I can do that. So when you do "adminwho", it says im not there.

"Edit" Well, maybe. I will employ a variety of tactics. XD

"Edit2" Fixed the filter spam.


"Edit 3": Two bugs I found. One, this guy couldnt die, even with 1k brute damage. No damage was off. Two, I couldnt die, with no damage off. Stood in the engine and not a scratch. Three, I couldnt put a mask on. D:

Four, I have no idea how to delete floodlights.

One: That's the ticker bug. All of your symptoms.
Two: You're not a map maker. You can't remove the floodlights, it has to happen during the coding.
