And fur.  I'm serious about this.  About two months ago my computer fan started making this buzzing noise.  I popped it open to see what was going down, and the fan was so choked with cat hair that it couldn't spin properly.  Cat hair.  In my computer.

Also, maybe it's just my sister's cats, but they are literally vomit-inducingly disgusting.  One drools everywhere, one has a massive open sore on its foot, and one had a similar sore(Some kind of infection, it turned out) on its side that eventually caused some kind of insane hernia.  That one had to be put to sleep, but there are still two filthy animals coating my entire house in cat hair.

Ticks normally aren't a problem;  my outdoor cat only rarely gets ticks, and my indoor cat has never had one.

You have an indoor cat and an outdoor cat at the same time....

Do they know about each other?! :P

Agreed, I had a cat for a few years and I never had any problems with it. It learned how to use a litterbox over the course of about 5 minutes after seeing it's mom do it (it was surprisingly endearing to see a bunch of kittens being toilet trained by their mom.)
The one I had was the only cat we ended up keeping out of the bunch.
There were some problems with fur for a while but once I started brushing the cat it was a lot easier to manage.
The cat I had ended up "running away" (read: my parents left it by the side of the road somewhere) when I was twelve so my memories may be somewhat skewed by time.

Brushing cats isn't particularly unpleasant anyway, since if mine was any indication, they love the hell out of it being done to them.

Mine just loves the hell out of any attention. Even after 15 years of life.

Especially if you brush/itch them around the ears, hell anywhere on their head.

Mine was something like 20 when we had her put down, and even then her health issues either weren't THAT bad, or she was just damn tough. (I'd rather not explain that whole situation)

I'm going with "just damn tough" considering she always was. Hell, she had a massive eye.. infection... thing and wound up losing an eye once, and that was when she was at LEAST 15.

Outdoor "domestic" cats...those tend to be disgusting most of the time.  ;)

I have an outdoors cat and he's quite healthy-looking. The only bad thing about his looks are the occasional wounds he gets fighting other cats, but they heal quickly. He does shed a lot of fur in the spring, though, because he puts on a massive coat in the cold winter months.

There's actually a stray in my neighborhood (maybe more than one), and those actually don't look too unhealthy.  People feed them sometimes, though, so that must have something to do with it.

Ticks normally aren't a problem;  my outdoor cat only rarely gets ticks, and my indoor cat has never had one.

Well, she's really and in-out cat.  So, unfortunately, yes.  They don't like each other.

Outdoor (and especially indoor-outdoor) cats usually aren't anywhere near that bad either.

Cthulu's cats sound like bizarro-world cats.

I know :'(:P it was mostly because the cat bothered my dad too much (the shedding wasn't that bad but it did irk him enough him to get rid of it.)
