Yes.

EDIT: Also, I'll take the tools, attach my silencer to my gun and look for the access hatch unless someone else has higher repair skill, in which case skip the first action.

There's about 25 of the fuckers and the three sarge killed were at point blank range - it's got to be zombies or a bunch of really dumb terrorists with knives.

This him just before the events leading to his discharge.

You order the console to open the maintenance corridor.

The large sealing hatch opens up revealing a small, cramped tunnel leading to the under side of the lift.

Is my height acceptable?

Action (assuming you mean ceiling): climb or jump into the hatch. Ready my baton. I've played Half-Life, I know that there will be something waiting in there for a tasty human to munch on. When I both my hands are free to use I'll ready my silenced pistol too.

Actually its on floor.

You enter the floor hatch while the others stay behind to guard the entrance.
You have to crouch in order to fit through the opening but you make good time and arrive at the damaged gear assembly.

Examine the gear assembly without putting down my baton. Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean you won't try to kill me somehow.

Also, does this mean I am really tall?

No, you're in a crawlspace.

As you examine the assembly you find several gears have jammed and one of the circuits is covered in what appears to be transduction fluid.

Remove damaged circuit and attempt to unjam the gears.

Remove damaged circuit and attempt to unjam the gears.

You begin to work on gears, after several minutes it seems as though you are almost done.

However, more and more fluid is leaking from the assembly

(How tall can I be?)

Find the source of the leak.

Find the source of the leak.

You reach up into the assembly trying to find the source of the leak.
As you prod around you find what seems to be the ruptured sac leaking the fluid.

Remove it or seal it, whichever is better. I count not being able to do the other thing as better.

You begin to remove the the ruptured sack, but as you are bringing it out it squirms in your hand!
A large worm shoots out of the assembly and begins crawling up your chest!

Shoot it. 6, 2. Hit it with my baton. 5, 2. Call out to the others.
