Good to see another mechanic on board.  They even have complimentary symbols (phiΦ and thetaΘ, both used in angle measurements).

So the map will be divided by some barrier like a chasm or river, I imagine? The background suggests a bridge, but having multiple points of entry would be a good idea to help create flanking maneuvers for the tactically minded team.

At the moment I am thinking of having a map similar to:

A being the artifact
M's are the mercenary spawn points (on island in the middle of a chasm).
+'s are the open pathways (bridges and roads)
B's are the bedrooms where teamed players (or aligned mercenaries) spawn.
Lines are enclosed passageways(bridges and tunnels) with the double line being a wide enclosed passageway.
▒'s being chasm.
D's are dinning rooms.
≈'s are the moats (water for flooded stairs, magma for bloodgears).
Also the top and bottom passages will not be straight but be a marksman's worst nightmare.


Also another thing, I will be randomly assorting all players to the teams so the classes you choose now may be unwanted when you find yourself on the same side as 4 other dagger wielding rogues. After I assign you to teams and draw up the map I will give you the chance to change your unwanted weapons and classes before the game begins.

Thanks for the pitch (seriously, anyone can join, I don't mind the work), and I agree DFpaint (despite being awesome) really needs a save function.

O.K. finished with the map.
The game will start in 48 hours giving me time to build up some tables and sort everything out.

If you want to change classes, now is the time to do it. Also, the teams are currently color coordinated so sorry to strife for not being purple and panda for not being green. Oh one other thing, I changed org from an O to a zero other wise I would confuse you with the pillars and ends of walls.
