Looking to strengthen my ties with another house through marriage I have 1 male who can be offered up I exist in the galaxy Capricorn.
Ask in the Capricorn area... you'll likely to get more responses... though... if your house is matriarch, you'll lose the male to the family he is wed too... unless its a patriarchal house I believe...

Hey Wiggles - how's your trade income? Not looking for your routes or anything. I'm making 278.97/day with 10 routes running, so averaging ~27.897 per facility per day.

They're doing terrible. ;.;

I think I'll start looking for routes with profits 30+ instead of 25.

I'd be interested in this.

I've made a spreadsheet with all of the planets within my range and it highlights the 3 highest and lowest prices for each commodity. Seems helpful.

It's just tedious inputting the prices each time they change.

Wow, I just realized that I'm making ~11k in profit, and ~9300 in facility maint. o.O

That's only a 1700 profit/month with ten trade routes running, almost all rated 'good', which is already pretty tedious to manage with prices changing so fast.

God damn this piracy sucks.

If anyone is curious, here are my numbers for last month (Faith).

Code: [Select]
Income

Type                    Amount
Mining Income              61093.30
Financial Subsidies        90000.00
Military Academy Income    650.37
Donations to the Faith     301.14
Facilities Dismantled      6020.60
Total Income :             158065.41

Costs
Internal Security          2.50
Infrastructure             5450.17
Taxes                      6738.46
Miscellaneous              21028.05
Facility Building          67422.73
Facility Maintenance       50710.15
Covert Operations          0.00
Military Upkeep            0.00
Technology Research        1137.50
Education                  2000.00
Total Costs :              154489.56

Yes, my net profit last month was $3576. So far over the last three months I've netted about $65400 in profit. I just tried out the military sphere but the academies don't make much money unless dynasty members are in training, and mercs would be good if there was a war on but nothing like that is happening here. I've switched to Mercantile now to try my hand at some trade routes to supplement my mining income.

I should point out that I made 3500 profit even after spending almost 70k in building new facilities.

Those aren't handouts, I am selling transportation concessions which increase other people's range.

Really?? I thought Transport concessions only increased range by 0.1.

In my galaxy to average tech is 29, so and extra 0.1 I wouldn't think is worth very much.

So, I got into the game and started setting up my businesses in Capricorn...

is the game normally this small, slow and quiet? I'm ranked 30ish of roughly 40 houses. I was expecting a hundred or more per galaxy. I've also been watching the boards, and there's absolutely no discussion in the galaxy-specific forum. Does almost everything happen in IRC?

The people of Gemini galaxy don't allow tech facilities, so the average tech level is 7.5. I can set up 5 transport concessions to a person for an ongoing subsidy and increase their range. People are willing to pay (as evidenced by the 90k/month)

Of course they were willing to pay me 100K in subsidies for doing nothing at all, until one of my spies got caught  8)
