I'm not a big fan of sending massive waves of young men who have been forced into combat to their deaths, so I'm leaning towards Lincoln. Don't take my vote yet, though. I think I'll read up on some of the allied leaders that I actually respect before casting mine.

Lincoln wasn't a general. His responsibility for the massacres that happened is lessened. He handled the opening of the war pretty well, too. He didn't attack the south until they moved against Fort Sumter. If he had viciously attacked, way more lives could have been lost.
