Isn't the pouch officially called the crop?  I remember a Sherock Holmes story which revolved around a blue carbuncle or diamond in the crop of a christmas goose. Which got lost.

Well, the crop IS technically a pouch, according to wikipedia: "In a bird's digestive system, the crop is an expanded, muscular pouch near the gullet or throat."

Although, I would like to say that these discussions are bringing out the plot more. The larger scheme of the plot has not been much at all revealed, aside from a single line that the shaman Shal'rek stated (look for it if you like, but it won't matter too much ), however the smaller plot has been mostly revealed, and only small parts of it are missing. Or at least, the current smaller plot, who knows what other adventures you'll all have in other places when you're done with Rahn inya isle here.

Anyways, I'm going to be putting a good chunk of time in on the turn tonight. Should get, at the very least, halfway done, if not finished. But, as always, this could and probably will change to "done by the end of the weekend." And it will be done by the end of Sunday, but possibly sooner. Who knows.

One thing I was wondering about. If I were to try to draw Flat in all his glory, I need to have him stand proudly with wings extended!

But when I try to do that, his wings from tip to tip are only half as long as his body. Or is one wing 35'?

His total wingspan is 35'. The problem with drawing him with his wings extended is that his wings are HUGE! (They'd need to be for his weight.) That why I wouldn't try to. It's simply too much for me.

By the way, this plot reminds me a little bit of a Donald Duck story. Mr. Duck wins a trip to a tropical island, by finding the lucky star in his bottle of lemonade, brand Ranya (That's what lemonade is called here). But on the tropical island Donald is constantly assualted and beaten up. When he asks for help and looks for what it was, it's just a frisky dog, or he accidentally walked in the dark room of a practicing karateka.
Later he's captured (there's a shark infested swimming pool involved) and the bad guys reveal themselves. They are a gang, whose rival (I think) is a gang lead by Rahn-Ya. D. Duck kept singing about Ranya, so they assumed he was one of them.
Please note, there's an happy ending which I won't spoil.

So yea. There's a tropical island and the bad guys sound alike. And there is a bird as a main character.
