My mayor happened to be female and the dwarven village liason happened to be male, they shared a tile with her bed for quite a while, and neither were asleep. Did they have sex? Is sex in the game? If dwarves have "lovers" and bear children, then is there a moment of conception? I guess it's not an important question, but I'm dieing to know

I guess it's how se conduct meetings... Did you give her a Office ? They get bat thoughts if they have to use bedrooms for busines talk.

As for making babies, thare seem to be something as "the moment of conception". However from my experience Dwarves have a somewhat differnt approach there - they seem to do it in the meeting area - the ones that got lots of freee time on they hands and hang put in the meeting area a lot get the most babies... (Female Mayors beeing the worst....)

No, they were just both standing on the bed to conduct a meeting.  Civilization creatures can only reproduce after marrying, and with no one else but their spouse.  There isn't any event to it either.  You could probably lock them in different parts of the fortress right after the reception and they'd still have kids.

how do you know they havent masterd the art of safe sex, and perform it recreationally prior to marriage?  the described act certainly sounds like it, and i've never seen dwarfs share a tile for a meeting (or use a bed) before, they seem to prefer standing around talking in the open if there is no meeting hall or office available.

and there is a "lover" relationship type.  that certainly implies that theyre bumping uglies.

Latest raws are non-bearded females, with a beard enabling option in there (the female beard-generating raw tag is essentially commented out, with a note by toady saying "if you want bearded female dwarves, put brackets around this tag")

They have not mastered the art of safe fishing, safe drinking of booze, safe [you name it]... Why would someone think they masteres safe sex Actually the mere fact the race of dwarves survived that long, must be accouted to they ability to recreate faster, than the stupidity is killing them...
