I've played it. A few things that rubbed me the wrong way:

I don't like how Ronin troops are now randomized. Granted, there wasn't much difference between them, although I still would like to call in Mia if I need the cheapest body that is still useful(not zombies).

The Techions seem pretty overpowered. Even though their stuff costs more, it takes more to actually beat them. A quick burst from one of their rifles will splatter a Coalition heavy, while takes a couple of clips from an Assault Rifle(plus going through one or more heavies) to take down one Whitebot. Their sniper rifle is annoying, since although it does little damage, it gibs the hell out of something over time, and pretty much ruins any gun it hits.

The AI does seem like it cheats. I set some zombie diggers up to poke a hole in their base. A short while later(about 75% through the ground) the whole team of diggers where wiped out by some sudden Whitebots, and I never saw or heard a dropship.

They got rid of the limited drop area around your brain. Now you can drop anywhere, although crates seem to come in a random angle. In campaign, you'll always enter the zone with an anti-air drone, but that doesn't always stop someone from dropping a crabbomb at the start.

Also, question: would mods for B27 work for v1.0?

I've been trying to figure that out, but as far as I have noticed, they mostly work, but need a small compat fix.

 I must admit to just buying CC once it got on Steam after playing a pirated one for a full year  :-[ .

 @Akura: I know for sure that people are updating some of the mods for 1.0, so not all of them work. I understand it that the mods that need fixing are mostly Metagame problems, though a couple of LUA problems are there too, so if you don't play Metagame you have about 60% chance the mod will work.

 I am a bit annoyed by the unlimited drop zone, it was bad but the way they fixed it is just as bad, in a different way. Once if you got your brain into, say the cave on Zombie Cave, then wave goodbye to reinforcements. On the other hand now, if you defend on metagame, it probably will result into a victory in the first ten seconds: a good ol' explosive-filled crate aimed straight at enemy brain and in 9 cases of 10, you can win instantly.

 I disagree about Techion being OP: they generally have ammo problems, since the weapons tend to have little of it. The annoying sniper rifle, for once, can only shoot once per reload, their rifles are pretty inaccurate, and they don't have any actual explosives except the Dummy-like nano granade.

 Who I think IS OP are Ronins. In metagame against AI they win all the battles with other AIs. On the other hand Imperatus keeps dropping the ball. Both of these happen consistently since B27, so it's not the matter with 1.0 changes. Though there is one thing to be said about Imperatus: they got the good old Mauler shotgun, fun weapon.

Huh. Imperiatus always kicked the shit out of Ronin in my campaigns.

I have a first mod here, a rifle, and launching CC gives me this error:
Code: [Select]
AddAmmo = Round
InstanceName = Rifle Round
ParticleCount = 1
Particle = MOPixel
InstanceName = Rifle Bullet
Mass = 0.05
AirResistance = 0.018
GlobalAccScalar = 0.1
RestThreshold = 500
LifeTime = 750
Sharpness = 250
HitsMOs = 1
GetsHitByMOs = 0
Color = Color
R = 143
G = 143
B = 143
Atom = Atom
Material = Material
CopyOf = Bullet Metal
TrailColor = Color
R = 155
G = 155
B = 155
TrailLength = 15
ScreenEffect = ContentFile
Filepath = Base.rte/Effects/Glows/YellowTiny.bmp
EffectStartTime = 0.1
Effect StartStrength = 0.7
EffectStopTime = 100
EffectStopStrength = 0.0
Shell = AEmitter
CopyOf = Casing
FireVelocity = 120
ShellVelocity = 10
Seperation = 0
It gives a "Could not match property" error on the filepath for the glow (near the bottom). I'm using a tutorial for this, is it because it was made a couple updates ago?

As it turns out, the pen was in fact a poor choice for melee combat in comparison to the sword.
So I just started playing this game and I accidentally nuked the moon.

Is it because you have a space in the line?:

Effect StartStrength = 0.7

Welp, time for HL3 to come out.

Anyway, the AI is way tougher, and the performance has drastically improved.

The new whitebots are really really overpowered, of course. I should try a survival map.

I tried playing campaign mode, and it was kind of crazy.  Not sure how you are supposed to invade a base when the moment you land your ship everybody nearby gangs up on your brain soldier before you can even bring in reinforcements.

Read up on what the Dev says on the forums. I'm kind of getting the feeling that he's not going to work on this any more, since he says that he's just going to work on CC until they start making the next game. It doesn't sound very promising.

Well you land far enough away from the enemy base so that can't happen...

Good thing I picked this up a long time ago when it was a cheap alpha that nobody thought would ever be finished. I've more than gotten my money's worth.

You really aught to be able to buy more starting units... It just seems odd you'd go down yourself without any escort at all.
