I think we call that the "Shakespearean ending".  Much easier to reach a conclusion when all that remains is a pile of bodies.

Plus, Wrath seems to be the only Homunculus (at least, the only one I've encountered so far - on chapter 59 atm) who is actually good at fighting.  The others just seem to be extremely careless, getting themselves killed a LOT and relying heavily on their regeneration powers.

Wrath also has somewhat of an advantage in the fitin' department what with that eye and all.

Yeah, true.  Still, leaping at a sword and getting yourself sliced in half from head to foot?  Seems a bit complacent to me.  Oh, and from chapter 59:

Roy Mustang: It's a common pattern in movies and novels.  Guys who talk happily about their family or lovers on the battlefield have a high chance of dying!  Stop it right there!

Yep, Hughes was doomed from the moment he opened his mouth.  Talking about your family in a warzone is almost as bad as being the parent of the main character in a Disney movie...

Actually, something weird.  IF SOMEONE TYPES IN ALL CAPS ON THE FORUM, it's difficult to read.  But the entire manga seems to be in all caps, and I can read it fine.  Is it something to do with the font?

Started watching Rozen Maiden (only done 4 episodes so far).  I've been enjoying it.  I like to think this is what Toy Story would be like if it were made in Japan (ie all the toys are creepy and apparently trying to kill each other).

No I haven't, as I haven't been watching as much anime as I used to.

Definitely didn't end how I expected it.
Japan is the only country I can think of where the main character dies in stories constantly.
I kinda saw Shinku dying coming, because you should never leave your enemy alive once you get them helpless. But I expected Jun to run up and be all "Ima' save yew with ma powurs!".
