I am now (finally, after constantly bailing on watching an episode because oh god the cringe) at Season 2 Episode 12 of Oreimo. Just 2 episodes to go. I don't know why I'm still watching this. I don't know what I'm watching anymore. It went from rom-com for the first season to suddenly rom with minimal com for like 2 episodes and then drama, then psychological manipulative thriller-drama, and then back to rom-com and now it seems to be quickly approaching harem status. And at points it made me cringe more than when I was trying to get through Watamote, which is all about the cringe. Just. What is this. what is this even.

It's just...bleh. Could've been waaaaay worse of a trip, given the title. And it was actually enjoyable for the first season. Now it just makes me question why I'm watching it. And why every female in a 5 mile radius of the protagonist seems to suddenly be madly in love with him, despite seeming out of character.

Autotune is best tune.
There can be too much of a thing. They could've just gotten a vocaloid instead, if they wanted the voice like that.

Okay, what is this shit, What is this shit.
I assume that Kill La Kill is moderately known, right? And I thought 'well you know it can't be that bad' and it wasn't, for a little bit, I liked the art style and the animation of the characters, what with all the loony toon Esq physics and world.
And seeing some of the images, I thought it was a little weird with the clothing (Sailor Uniform and all that) But I could live with it, keep in mind, that thought process was without the knowledge that the suit 'transformed' when in combat, I thought it was just that at all times.

But... seriously?! That? That fffffffffffffffudging battle clothing?
Please tell me there's some sort of upgrade to the battle uniform later in the series.
Please?

Yer just gonna have to believe me when I say: stick with it, cause it's kinda the point of the show, and boy does is it a powerful point.

Recently played the peculiar game "Weapon Shop De Omasse" on the 3ds. The premise of the game: you play 2 short minigames to create a weapon, then you rent them out, then you read a live twitter feed of their progress in order to vicariously adventure as you do your boring menial job back at the weapon shop.

And weirdly enough, it works! The writing and dialogue are all wonderful and charming. The setting makes no pretense of being anything more than a stand-in fantasy cliche, and it knows it, making playful self-referential jokes all the time.

And you can't hate a Nintendo game that has the most explicit and unambiguous gay man ever as probably the most likable character.

Wow, you weren't kidding about that, two episodes in and it got amazing quick.
Also, couple of bullet points I just wanna make:
1: It actually makes a really cool point.
2: Mako is like, the most badass mothertrucker I have ever seen.
3: Life Fiber Pfffffff
4: Reality seems to be everyone bitch here, like, cartoon levels.

I just found a barrel which contained a wheelbarrow. Inside the wheelbarrow was another barrel. I don't even understand how that is possible.

Thanks to r/animefood, I'm now reading Shokugeki no Soma and it's almost the definition of food porn. Apparently an anime is airing this season as well

Second half of the show has most characters' gear get upgraded or modified in one way or another. There's probably a metaphor for personal growth in there or something but I'll be damned if I ever recognise it.

And before you ask, yes, Ryuuko does get  a less revealing combat outfit.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

After watching the first Rolling Girls ep, I can't help but feel this is gonna be the next huge thing, like it'll be the KLK of 2015.

... realize it's probably a bit too early too tell, but is the sound direction so far anywhere near as good as KLK's?

I'm normally pretty noncommittal about music and whatnot, but after watching KLK and Gundam Build Fighters (+ what Try has so far) in the last year or so I'm finding myself growing more appreciative of it.

I find this relevant.
Speaking of, having finished KLK, I really wonder why there aren't more shows that have that kind of animation style, with all that short range teleportation and physics being the traditional whipping boy for that universe.
