Apparently season 2 of Chaika the Coffin Princess is airing. Simulcasts on Wednesdays on Crunchyroll, Chaika the Coffin Princess-AVENGING BATTERU

So that's cool.

Just finished the last episode of season one and I'm glad season 2 has already started, not sure if I could wait else wise.

So it looks like we might be witnessing another Chaika being "born" right there at the end. I guess if you had some sort of resurrection plot that's not too bad a way of doing it, just cast some massive spell that occasionally selects girls under great stress who meet the desired attributes and overwrites them with your preset personality and physical characteristics. I mean unless you have some way of breaking the spell (and if it's tied to the remains the only way to do that would be to destroy them/use them up) there's not much you could do about it.

Also just totally realized that Gillett's fortune came true, he never did get to resheath his sword. Obviously now means it's time for wild mass guessing about how Vivi's fortune is going to come true.

I just saw this 1984 anime film called Kenya Boy (Shonen Kenya). The story is a survival tale about an 11 year old Japanese boy lost in the wilderness of Kenya in 1941 due to the outbreak of WWII.

I knew it was going to be bad due to the really low MAL rating, and I was tossing up whether to even start watching it. Now, I'm glad I did. Rather than cringing or feeling bored, this is a rollercoaster of WTF and inexplicable LOLs that kept me wondering what was going to happen next the whole movie. I recommend this as an anime "b movie", but don't read any spoilers or reviews first.

Well the akward early period of the new Sailormoon is over... I am glad.

Seeing all this weird stupidity was just odd given that it is the sort of thing that gets ironed out when it comes into anime form.

It is probably much better at handling JUST Serena and Darien then the original was. The other Sailorscouts are still... barren of personality but that's fine... I can watch the live action version if I wanted something a bit more honest to the original AND with strong characterization of all the scouts.

It is sad that I can definitely think of a few Animes (and Mangas by extension) that have combat that feels like it takes plays in a Turn Based RPG.

Not sure I like where the plot's going now. Think I'll just consider the plot twist to be the tragic end to what could've been a happy-ass romance and leave it at that.
