I finished Anohana. The characters have questionable personalities, and the ending is kind of unfulfilling, but it was a good show all-around. It took me awhile to finish this 11 ep show, if only because it's so painstakingly sappy and emotional. It feels like it's trying too hard at times to tug at your heartstrings.

Time to start Durarararara!

I like long series, except when they intentionally drag on.

Short ones have always felt like they sprinted to the end and now are over. (yet they still somehow have filler)

New NGE manga chapter!  Yah!  And I get to see Fate/zero plastered all over the cover thanks to NGE being in the Young Ace magazine with Fate/zero as well.

ZOMG! Need better internet! Just a week away... I can take it... I... can...  take... it...

Also, just finished the first route of Fate/stay night.

OMG, wai u so heartwarming and sad and awesome and 'daaawwwwwww at the same time!? If it wasn't for the equally traumatic experiences getting to it, I'd recommend it as a way to recoup from the horrors of things like Saikano...

I watched some Ginban Kaleidoscope after someone here spoke of it.

I have to say... I am uttarly UTTARLY surprised, more then almost any other anime, that no one ever thinks of calling a doctor.

Even when you can see very clearly what would be medical symptoms.

Hmmm.  After looking at Wikipedia it looks like I'll have to play Fate/hollow before I play Fate/zero.  If I want to play them in the order Type-Moon made them anyway.  Hrrrm well better finish the second route of Fate/stay.

Current Events

• Tohsaka and Archer eventually find Kuzuki and Caster at the church.  They've killed Kotomine and they're going to make the church their new base.  Saber is still resisting the Command Spell placed on her.
• Shirou wants to be useful so he heads to the church for advice from Kotomine when he stumbles upon this situation, he waits and spies on them at first.
• At the confrontation Archer decides it would be best if he switches sides so he betrays Tohsaka and lets Caster stab him with the zagger, breaking the contract between them.
• Tohsaka tries to flee but Mr. Kuzuki advances for a killing blow.  At this point Shirou jumps down from the stairs and projects Archer's swords yet again, blocking Kuzuki.  Caster walks foward to kill the two with Kuzuki however Archer stops Caster, saying it's distasteful to see the Master he just betrayed to be killed within less than five minutes.  Caster hesitates but then lets the two go because she's a nice lady?
• Shirou and Tohsaka flee and have some heartfelt words with each other.  They both then head back to Shirou's house to devise a strategy.  In the end they come up with trying to ally with another Master, Illyasviel.  It's the only chance they got.  They decide to try to negotiate with her tomorrow and head to bed for some much needed rest.

Thoughts
Man I was not expecting any of this.  In seems in the second route Caster becomes the new antagonist instead of Kotomine, seeing as he's most likely dead.  Now Archer betrays Tohsaka today, but I'm quite certain Archer will just be pulling a huge gambit.  Why else would he tell Caster to let us go?  He's obviously being cunning, if a bit cruel.  I kinda want to know what Assassin and Shinji/Gilgamesh are doing.  Since Kotomine is dead Gilgamesh should sense that.  Seeing Shinji, Illyasviel, Tohsaka, and Shirou working together with the Servants Gilgamesh, Berserker, and Assassin would be awesome.  Although I doubt that will happen...maybe.  I know Gilgamesh has feelings for Saber so he might help but then I wonder if it would be too easy?  I mean Gilgamesh can destroy most people with his Noble Phantasm powers.  He was the one to kill Caster last game thanks to the fact he ignored Kotomine and went out in town during the night.

Well whatever, awesome day is awesome.

The chapter was like 24 pages I think.  It won't take long to read seeing as this is the newest chapter since like, May.  Also somebody else is doing what I'm doing, yah!  I like the second route more so far.

In the first game, Caster said she killed her Master, however she was talking about the first Master she had, not Kuzuki.  Somehow, and I don't know how, Caster killed her first Master way too early in the second/this game.  Instead of gathering power from the people more and killing her first Master when she could actually support herself for some reason Caster kills her first Master much earlier than in the first game.  And because of this slip-up Caster wasn't given enough magical energy to sustain herself or even last through the night.  Because of that Caster is found by Kuzuki, who then forms a contract with her.  Kuzuki is actually her second Master in this messed up game.  That's cool.  Man even if Kuzuki is just an ordinary human he can still beat other Servants up.

I just can't see Caster betraying Kuzuki.  Unlike her first Master, Kuzuki is a much nicer person to her.

Current Events

• We see some backstory for Caster, who was saved by Kuzuki.
• Shirou and Tohsaka head to Illyasviel's mansion, only to find Gilgamesh and Berserker fighting.  Gilgamesh shoots so many weapons that eventually Berserker succumbs after dying many times.  Shinji is onlooking gleefully the entire time.
• Gilgamesh slices Illya's face, blinding her.  Berserker rises up somehow for a final attack before Gilgamesh just silences him with a spear to the heart, dead for real.  Gilgamesh then focuses on Illya again.
• Unable to bear it any longer Shirou comes out from his hiding place and YAMERO TEMEEEEE at Gilgamesh, who only pauses for a moment before ripping Illya's heart out.  After a tense atmosphere Shinji and Gilgamesh leave with the heart and Shirou and Tohsaka try to re-strategize thanks to Gilgamesh screwing everything up.
• Lancer shows up and is there to help them thanks to his unknown Master.  The three leave the mansion after burying Illya with Berserker's "ashes", ending the day.

Thoughts
Damn.  Shinji is alive and has a new Servant, but he somehow manages to be a huge jerk still.  And Gilgamesh, Gilgamesh completely wiped out Berserker and Illyasviel.  Right after Shirou tells Gilgamesh to stop we get to see a Berserker/Illyasviel backstory moment, which was really touching.  Illya dies after the backstory finishes though, I was hoping Shirou could have stopped it, but no such luck.  Shinji doesn't seem have advanced as a character at all and is still pretty heartless.  He'll probably get more characterization along with Sakura next route.  Oh, speaking of which Caster's backstory at the beginning was nice.  It's good to see Kuzuki being nice at least I guess.  No emotions, ever.  And Lancer was his comedic self like always.  I want to know who his Master was before Kotomine though.  I hope it's not some anonymous person like Caster's, damn you Teppei!
