I saw one the other day.

It still might be a better idea than a cell phone, since if an old, weak person falls down and can't get up, they may be in too much pain to dial 9-1-1 on a cell phone, but strong enough to push the large button on the Life Alert bracelet.

Oh, on topic? I remember my first bear kill. I meant to throw a stone at it, but threw a club instead. Either it lodged in, or the bear fricking caught the club and began using it. I took out my axe, and began hacking at its head, dodging all its blows from the club it stole from me. Eventually I slammed the axe into its eye and it died.

... Yes, the hugs are for everyone.  No stabbing, though.  Just hugs.

I arrowed then speared my first bear.  Nothing as cool as the bear with club but still pretty exciting at the time.  Hauling the meat, however...

Well, as I like "adventuring" (read: walking around in unknown forests) IRL, URW is something I got into not too long ago. It's certainly fun to launch it up once in a while. Recently I got my first kill - a lonely dog, wandering some plains, got a couple of arrows into his gut. 15 pieces of dogmeat, hooray. Oh, and now I can't find my camp :-/

F6 will bring up the world map which should show your camp as a brown square.

Meh, bears are pussies. It took me less than a dozen arrows to kill one recently, and it didn't even close half the distance to me before he died (leg shots FTW).

Anyway, what's the best way to use a bear fur?

Bears have the toughest hide, so I usually make clothing out of it.

Yeah, that's the plan, but I'm not sure which pieces of clothing will give me the most bang for my buck.

Definitely the cloak if you have all 17 pounds. Otherwise, shirt, then legs, then hood, then cap, then gloves then boots.

A cloak weighs 17 pounds?
