Haha, tried the new one...it now says my framerate is officially 0 on the menu and it still hovers between 5 and 10 ingame.

Partial printing...?

I'm never as stupid as I am at 3am, found it myself. Partial printing is at yes:0 and it's still doing squat for me. This isn't the first time these drivers have let me down, but unfortunately there's literally no one supporting this card anymore.

hum... I gave the accelerator a try on my pc(3ghz intel duo core, 4gb ram, windows xp sp3, radeon x1900 gt with 2 week old driver), but it doesn't seem to do anything other than mess up the graphics(I'm using the regular ascii).

This is getting silly.
Has anyone with a radeon card actually used it successfully?

Hold it.
The case matters; it needs to be "YES:0", not "yes:0".

Uh, it's me again, something's up with the background layer on everything now. (I downloaded today's one, worked fine before the 1.3 to 1.1 thing, I can wait though.)

Also, the embark screen is hit hard by this too, I don't have pics but the entire left panel is black save for the embark area which is coloured almost normally.

Oh, right. I knew there was a reason I was using the more complex function..

Guess I'm back to GL_COMBINE. I'll post when I've set it back (and right; I was using it wrong before); meanwhile, don't download anything.

Okay.
THIS time it's fixed. I'm pretty certain of that.

I'm down to pure opengl 1.1, no background weirdness, and everything that can be moved out of the main loop has been done so.

Also, I did some texture coordinate fixes; it should now (ideally) be pixel-perfect identical to normal DF.

Well, it's not pixel-perfect. Neither is DF, apparently (though it should be, with its approach.. meh. It isn't.)

I'll keep working on that. Meanwhile, have fun playing; there should be no real issues. Unless there are.

Sorry, 3am strikes again. It was set to [PARTIAL_PRINT:YES:0] and I still got nothing useful from it. I wouldn't be surprised if it's just this one specific card, everything I've ever read about it AFTER buying it and the no return policy running out has been godawful.

Ah crap...you were saying toady's planning to make this the standard in future releases? *gulp*

Don't worry. Since I'm the one writing the code, I really want people Toady to adopt it, and that is contingent on it working for everyone - I'm also adding a 2D fallback through SDL. It should, at the very least, be no slower than what you've got now.

Works great, thanks  8) ( Win XP/GeForce 8600 if you're collecting stats about what works and what doesn't)

Too bad there's not a DF Pathing Accelerator, some route caching could speed this game up even more.

ATI Radeon 9250 with Omega drivers, 800x600 curses with custom row and columm counts here.   It's not a magic bullet but I think I'm getting a slight improvement with the latest version.   I seem to have gone from 40 FPS to 45 FPS with my current fort.

Good work though, that's almost a year difference before it gets too slow for me there, and I haven't seen any bothersome side effects yet.  Only oddity I've seen so far is the screen sometimes going back when the window loses focus, but it comes back after a second when I put DF on focus again.

I have been using it for a while now (it's great) but dwarf foreman doesn't work with it....  :(
it says its the wrong version or something.....
I really like both but I need dwarf foreman to play I am far to lazy to not have it when your DF Accelerator only makes it
2 times faster. I guess I can just copy and paste the entire game and then put the DF Accelerator stuff in when the fps hits
30 but it would be nice to get foreman to work with it.

Works fine with foreman for me, are you sure you've got foreman configured properly for the version of DF you're using?
