Ok, after downloading, it is now causing a bunch of weird graphical glitches during the saving process (and the menu screen after saving). No big deal, but you might want to look into it. I'm on Windows.

Ah.  I knew there was something simple going on.

I'm not much of a programmer, but I'll see if I can figure it out.

That doesn't happen for me. Let's see..

What's the debugging output? Which GPU do you have? Have you tried updating your drivers? Does double-tapping F11 fix it? If it doesn't, does it still happen without graphical tiles?

I have now hopefully fixed the bug where minimizing DF and switching back terminates it - or, generally, where DFA decides that it has an 1x3 grid or something.

This leaves the known fatal bug total at zero. Please test.

Works without problems. However, I've played before with FPS cap turned on, so no speed increase raports yet (waiting for the immigrants).

For lack of anything better to do, I added a special case to GLA so it'll detect and ignore the mouse texture. This does mean that if you leave it on, it'll crash instead of just glitching, but you're not supposed to do that anyway.

More to the point, though, that saves 75% of the used GPU memory with a 16x16 tileset, and even more with smaller ones. Might be useful for someone.

Oh, but I haven't gotten a chance to compile it for windows yet. Meh.

Uploaded. I'll try using profile-guided optimization next.

Hmm.. guys, is anyone using this that doesn't have at least a pentium 3?

I have now replaced opengl32.dll with a version that's compiled using profile-guided optimization. This will, hopefully, make it a little faster.

Since I as usual can't test this myself, I'd love to hear reports to that effect. :)

Intel (R) Celeron (R) M CPU 440 @ 1.86GHz. It doesn't look like Pentium3 for me, but who knows? Certainly I don't.
I've encountered the bug with glitchy graphics on the beginning, but F11 twice and everything returned to normal. Still performing speed tests.

Right. No, I mean /really/ old hardware, released /before/ pentium 3. Pentium M is two generations after it.

That is, is anyone playing DF on a pentium 2, pentium, 486 or athlon t-bird or thereabouts?

Alrighty, new bug.  Whenever I export a map from world-gen I just get lots of images of the current screen pasted into the file where the map ought to be.

And debugging output? For that matter, what are your settings?
