does anyone know how to change the pop needed for mayor/king etc, so i can have say a pop capped at 50 or 60? make a small fort?

I'm assuming their move-in values are hard-coded, as there's no init value, and no values listed in any raw file. So, assuming that's the case, you may be hosed. Your small fort will be sans-nobles until Toady gets around to moving that section of data into the raw files.

A slightly complex would be raising your cap to a number allowing for these nobles, then dropping your value to what you want it at, then killing off your extras.

Toady gets around to moving that section of data into the raw files.
The next release will allow us to define custom nobles, so I'm certain this is coming too.
