Don't worry about voting now because you just started, I set up the vote so you can change your's so that you don't have to come up with an absolute average of every fortress you have done.

Most people seem to hover around 30-20 FPS but I wanted to make sure that this isn't volunteer bias.

Eh, well over 100, but I am using 60 FPS cap. The game is just way too fast at 100+ FPS.

it is alittle hard to say..... cause i usually have mine at around 80 FPS cap, but then turn off immigration when it starts going down, i like smaller forts

I set my cap to 40, but play takes me towards the lower 30s, usually. I balance the immigrants by killing local creatures.

Partial print hasn't seemed to do anything no matter the setting under 40c.

Edit: I should mention I'm running 1280x1024 at 80x64 grid size.

40FPS with 100 guys in a 4*4 fort with 1z level of hills, and no water flow.

Intel E2180CPU.

Limit it at 100 and it very rarely dips below except on massive forts, I cant stand it when my fort is running slowly.

Haven't really bothered to remember it, but on a smallish 4x4 map that was flat with a magma pipe, I got 140 FPS, and on a similar sized map that I based around a major river I got around 100.  I set my GFPS nice and low, however, and I've been a bit spoiled by my higher FPS.

Between 20 and 40fps.  The map is 5x5 and there are slightly over 150 dwarfs.  About six z-levels are thoroughly excavated.
System processor is an Intel Q9450.

between 30 and 40 FPS, sometimes going up to 60, and sieges bringing it below 10.  I've excavated a fair amount down about 13 Z-levels, there's a huge mechanical system, and flowing water.  There's magma, but it's not flowing.

5x4, and 175 dwarves.
