I'm using 40d13, which may be the problem, so maybe someone's figured out what you're supposed to fill in for this version?

Okay, I've found the locations and created a .40d13 snippet.

That was faster than expected. Thanks, you champion, you. Seems to be working fine, if something comes up, I'll report it, etc. etc.

Cannot seem to (re)download the file, Sourceforge is giving me an "Unable to locate mirrors" error.  (Maybe Sourceforge is run by vampires?)

In any case, does someone know if this an issue on my end, Sourceforge's end, or somewhere else?  And if there is somewhere else to get Dwarf Manager (I really don't want to go back to playing without it... :-D)

Edit: Ignore this.  It was my computer.

Could the program run in Linux using wine ?

If you are running the Windows version of df under Wine, then that might work,  I've never tried it.

If you're running the native Linux version of df, then no, dwarf manager won't work with it at all (yet).

Although I did not do too much testing, this appeared to work for me:
Code: [Select]
<MemoryLayout Name="v0.28.181.40d14" CheckSum="0x4a8623d2" Base="v0.28.181.40d8">
<Address Name="CreatureVector" Value="0x015BDE44"/>

Okay, I'm trying desparately to get DM up and running for 40d16. It seems I'm failing heartily. Has anyone done this? I attempted it, but it seems I'm failing to understand something.

I've followed the instructions in the memory layout files.

Here's what it spat out at me:

I attempted to put this into the file, but it just crashes when I 'load from'

Try Dwarf Therapist (new tool, similar to Dwarf Manager): http://www.bay12games.com/forum/index.php?topic=39229.0

The settings for d16 are on page 15 in the thread :)

Question:
Can you tell the difference between Legendary, L+1, L+2...L+5 by looking at the gray box? Is that completely filled if one of them's L+5?

I divided up the various jobs into multiple tabs, and thought that my version of TableLayout.xml would be useful to others:

I don't get surnames on my dwarves in Dwarf Manager using those settings.

I've copied the memory settings from  Dwarf Therapist & they work much better. Settings are as follows:

Code: [Select]
<MemoryLayout Name="v0.28.181.40d16" CheckSum="0x4a9b1a72" Base="v0.28.181.40d8">
<Address Name="CreatureVector" Value="0x15bde5c"/>

<Address Name="LanguageVector" Value="0x01604104"/>
<Address Name="TranslationsVector" Value="0x01604134"/>
