I just noticed that after having an adventurer join a religion, retire, then reactivate him, he can have a conversation with his deity. I just have to press "K" and the Deity's name is displayed on the list of things to start a conversation with (Of course, the deity just "remains silent" no matter what you say. But it is kinda cool)

What? I haven't played Adventure mode a lot, but how does one do this? Does it involve taking a quest from a preist(ess)? There's no mention of it on the wiki.

Ask a high priest/priestess about serving their cause, like the mayors.  They won't give you a quest, but you'll become an adherent of their religion.  They'll also give you bits of life advice, like "All you need to do is experience suicide!", etc.

Yeah had those too for some time. They told me to go and expierence torture...

After some trying out I was quite sure they meant torture on myself, witch i dont think is possible

hmm.. to torture one self could near drown your self or let a ground hog beat you a lot or maybe jump off a building till you break something or find a dragon a fight it.

I did jump of the temple in question till I had yellow limbs, didnt help anything at all. I also beat up various helpless animals - slowly.

Perhaps whatever godlike thing the temple worships would prefer suffering of a child instead? plenty of elves.

I once tried to play a spirit of fire and take a stroll across the bottom of an ocean, but the extreme lag from turning all the water around me to steam and new water flowing in dissuaded me from making the whole trip.
