These things are annoyingly rare.


Funnily enough my legendary swimming adventurer happened upon it while killing priests and decided to leap into the (so-I-thought-water) pit of the temple after the high priest, whence I started burning in lava. I quickly savescummed so I could get a screen shot.

 I got several adventurers legendary searching goblin temples for one of those. Thank you.

 Although my most famous adventurer was known for taking down goblin towers with cave critters flooding the area. Chucked that guy in a chasm after everything was dead.

Really why you should check the bottom of what you're jumping into unless you're meaning to commit suicide.  I've had chasms large enough to look like an ordinary cliff before.

Wouldn't you get a large 'You have discovered a large chasm clef- OH GOD THE SPIDERS ARE EATING ME!! AUAUGH!' message as you came across it?

They're mostly rare because none of the races are forced into worshiping a god(ess) of fire, volcanoes, etc..

also on one of the very first adventurers i made i found one of these. no screenshots though cause i didnt know they were rare.
